ADVENT 2022 ~ For unto us a Child is born, unto us a SON+ is GIVEN ! ~ Isaiah 9:6

 Isaiah  9:6

For unto us a CHILD+ is born, unto us a SON+ is given: and the government shall be upon His+ Shoulder: and His+  Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Ever-lasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 

For unto us a CHILD+ is born,

unto us a SON+ is given:

This Prophetic Scripture does not state that a “child is given”.  This Prophetic Scripture does not state that a “son is born.”

 

The Isaiah 9:6 Scripture tells us that The SON+ was given to us  (by SOMEONE ELSE) .  That “ Someone Else” is GOD.

GOD gave  HIS Only-Begotten SON+. 

John 3:16

For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS Only-Begotten SON+, that whosoever believeth in HIM+ should not perish, but have Everlasting Life. 

Galatians 4:4

But when the fulness of the time was come, GOD sent forth HIS SON+, made of a woman, made under the Law, 

 

In other words, The SON+ of GOD became the Son of Man. . . and not the other way around.  A son of man did NOT become The SON+ of GOD.

This point is crucial to understand when speaking with certain Jewish groups, among others who try to discredit The LORD JESUS.  

Some Jewish groups, especially those from the Hebrew Roots movement, do NOT believe that JESUS was born the MESSIAH+ . 

Rather, they believe HE+ assumed the Messiah-ship because HE+ was the son of man who lived SO righteously that HE+ earned  the Messiah-ship.   

In other words, that JESUS  was awarded that position. Of all the “sons of men,” HE+ was the most righteous.   The FATHER was “well-pleased” with HIM+, so HE+ was given the position of being the MESSIAH+.  

They are wrong.

The LORD JESUS was GIVEN from GOD

as The SON+ of GOD

. . . at HIS+ BIRTH.

This is why the Heavenly Host sang Gloria in the Highest … Peace on earth, goodwill to men. . . before HE+ was old enough to keep the Mosaic Law. 

This is why the magi were led by The Star to bring Royal Gifts and come to worship HIM+ before HE+ was old enough to do anything righteous.

This is why the rest of the verse of Isaiah 9:6   tells us that upon the very shoulder of this GIVEN SON+ would rest the government . 

ALL the government .

Of the ALL the world.

and to The SON+ --- Whom+ HE gave ---

and to the HOLY SPIRIT.

As it was in the beginning ,

is now and ever shall be,

world without end. Amen
