EVALUATING THE VARIANTS:
There are three Ways to Measure the many VARIANTS which propose to change the Sacred Text of The HOLY WORD of GOD.
There are
NOTES of TRUTH

concerning
“Textual Criticism”

+ + +
First of all , the very term , "textual
criticism of the HOLY SCRIPTURES" is repugnant to GOD.
It is a stench in HIS+ Nostrils.
Perhaps man’s study of variants found in the Sacred Texts would be
better called: The Study of Variants found amongst Ancient Biblical
Manuscripts.
Does the VARIANT in question
add to or
take away from ... ?
1. The person of
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, His+ title, His+ character, His+ activity, His+ Words, or His+ historicity ?
Does the VARIANT in question
add to or
take away from ... ?
2. The movement of
the HOLY SPIRIT or the activity of the HOLY SPIRIT in any way ?
There seems to be a dangerous bias of the scholars --- even the
best and most honest of them --- against the supernatural workings of the HOLY SPIRIT.
Does the VARIANT in question
add to or
take away from ... ?
3. The historical
and geographic veracity contained in the
Scriptures ?

It stands to reason that if the variant in question takes
away from ANY one of the three
items listed above, that variant is to be REJECTED out of hand.
Sadly enough, the variants being used today to change HOLY
SCRIPTURE do NOT seem to enhance nor add
to any of the three categories.
They seem to truncate, eliminate, omit, or reduce the strength of that Scripture passage --- or else, the new “variants” confuse the word , phrase, or verse in question.

The Standard of Scripture is that it was "once
delivered to all the Saints." That standard has not
changed after it was delivered to mankind.
Academically, the New Testament Standard of men has been
established to measure all textual variants by ONE standard, that is, the
Textus Receptus.
The Textus Receptus happens to BE the standard by which all manuscripts
are collated, by the consensus of the scholars themselves!
Even Robinson-Pierpont's excellent work, Byzantine Textform of the New Testament ( 2005 ), is collated against the Textus Receptus.

Thus, we see that the manuscripts backing the Textus Receptus have
been ascertained by centuries of Christians to be the STANDARD for the
Word of GOD once delivered to all saints.
[ Now, we are not
talking specifically about the KJV here.
It has some translation mistakes and certainly some archaic word
choices. We ARE addressing the manuscripts behind the translation of the KJV, however.
In addition, we are well aware that those manuscripts are considered "representative" of the traditional text of the Holy Scriptures. ]

We will be reviewing the issues and Biblical passages pointed out
by Wilbur Pickering, Herman C. Hoskier, and DEAN John Burgon, although many
other resources both on-line and in writings will be shared, as well as some
things out of the actual manuscripts themselves.
Furthermore, we will see what the scholars from the Alexandrian camp
as well as the Byzantine camp record, in their efforts to “correct” Scriptures.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that
ye should earnestly contend for
the faith which was
once
delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:3

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:2
