ADVENT 2023 ~ WEEK THREE ~ Daily Week-day Readings of The Prophecies Fulfilled in The New Covenant

 ^{Here is a daily Scripture reading for family devotions. The Prophecy of the Coming Messiah+ is given first , followed by the fulfillment seen in the New Testament.  This shows that The LORD GOD always  fulfills His Word unto man. Whether we understand it or not, The WORD of the LORD will always be fulfilled. It is ALWAYS true.}

WEEK THREE ~  3rd Sunday, DECEMBER 17 ~ Church and Sunday School remembrance of His+ Coming to Save us from our Sins.

.NOTE: Week 4 is Christmas week; there will be no Advent readings after this week.  ADVENT ends on Monday, December 25, Christmas day.

MONDAY, DECEMBER  18  ~ PROPHECY :

^{ISAIAH 7:14}  Therefore the LORD HIMSELF shall give you a sign; Behold, a VIRGIN shall conceive, and bear a SON+, and shall call His+ Name IMMANUEL. 

FULFILLMENT :

^{MATTHEW 1:22}  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the LORD by the Prophet, saying, 

^{MATTHEW 1:23}  Behold, a VIRGIN shall be with CHILD+, and shall bring forth a SON+, and they shall call his name EMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US. 

 

TUESDAY, DECEMBER  19 ~ PROPHECY :

^{ISAIAH 9:1}  Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first HE ^GOD lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. 

^{ISAIAH 9:2}  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the LIGHT shined. 

 

FULFILLMENT :

^{MATTHEW 4:12}  Now when JESUS had heard that John ^{the Baptist} was cast into prison HE+ departed into Galilee; 

^{MATTHEW 4:13}  And leaving Nazareth, HE+ came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: 

^{MATTHEW 4:14}  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias ^ISAIAH the Prophet, saying, 

^{MATTHEW 4:15}  The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; 

^{MATTHEW 4:16}  The people which sat in darkness saw great LIGHT; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death LIGHT is sprung up.

^{MATTHEW 4:17}  From that time JESUS began to preach, and to say, REPENT: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. 

^{JOHN 8:12} Then spake JESUS again unto them, saying, I+ am the LIGHT of the world: he that followeth ME+ shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the LIGHT of life. 

 

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20 ~ PROPHECY :

^{ISAIAH 11:1}  And there shall come forth a ROD+ out of the Stem of Jesse^{father of DAVID}, and a BRANCH+ shall grow out of his ^JESSE  roots: 

^{ISAIAH 11:10}  And in that day there shall be a ROOT+ of Jesse ^{father of David}, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it ^{HIM+; no “it” in Hebrew} shall the Gentiles seek: and HIS+ Rest shall be glorious. 

FULFILLMENT :

^{MATTHEW 1:1}  The book of the generation of JESUS CHRIST, the Son of David, the son of Abraham. 

^{MATTHEW 1:2}  Abraham begat ^{fathered, sired} Issac; and Issac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas ^JUDAH and his brethren; 

^{MATTHEW 1:3}  And Judas ^JUDAH begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; 

^{MATTHEW 1:4}  And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; 

^{MATTHEW 1:5}  And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; 

^{MATTHEW 1:6}  And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; . . . . . . .^>>>

^{>>> MATTHEW 1:15}   . . . . And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; 

^{MATTHEW 1:16}  And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born JESUS, Who+ is called CHRIST. 

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21 ~ PROPHECY :

^{ISAIAH 11:2}  And the SPIRIT of the LORD shall rest upon HIM+, the SPIRIT of Wisdom and Understanding, the SPIRIT of Counsel and Might, the SPIRIT of Knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 

FULFILLMENT :

^{JOHN 1:32} And John ^{the Baptist} bare record, saying, I saw the SPIRIT descending from Heaven like a dove, and it abode upon HIM+. 

^{JOHN 1:33} And I ^{John the Baptist} knew HIM+ not: but HE that sent me to baptize with water, THE SAME said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the SPIRIT descending, and remaining on HIM+, THE SAME is HE+ which baptizeth with the HOLY SPIRIT. 

^{JOHN 1:34} And I ^{John the Baptist} saw, and bare record that THIS+ is the SON+ of GOD. 

FRIDAY, DECEMBER  22 ~ PROPHECY :

^{ISAIAH 11:3}  And shall make HIM+ of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and HE+ shall not judge after the sight of His+ eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His+ ears: 

^{ISAIAH 11:4}  But with Righteousness shall HE+ judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and HE+ shall smite the earth with the Rod of His+  Mouth, and with the Breath of His+ Lips shall HE+ slay the wicked. 

FULFILLMENT :

^{REVELATION 2:27} And he ^{the Over-comer Christian} shall rule them with a ROD OF IRON; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I+ received of My+ FATHER.

^{REVELATION 12:5} And she brought forth a MAN CHILD+, Who+ was to rule all nations with a ROD OF IRON: and her CHILD+ was caught up unto GOD, and to HIS Throne.

^{REVELATION 19:15} And out of HIS+ Mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it HE+ should smite the nations: and HE+ shall rule them with a ROD OF IRON: and HE+ treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD.

Glory be to THE FATHER,

and to HIS SON+

JESUS CHRIST,

and to the HOLY SPIRIT.
