Here is a daily Scripture reading for family devotions. The Prophecy of the Coming Messiah+ is given first , followed by the fulfillment seen in the New Testament. This shows that The LORD GOD always fulfills His Word unto man. Whether we understand it or not, The WORD of the LORD will always be fulfilled. It is ALWAYS true.
WEEK ONE ~ 1st Sunday, DECEMBER 3 ~ Church and Sunday School remembrance of His+ Coming to Save us from our Sins.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 4 ~ PROPHECY :
GENESIS 3:15And I [GOD] will put enmity between thee [the serpent ] and the woman, and between thy seed and her SEED+; it* [ HE+ ] shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His+ Heel.
* There is no “it” in Hebrew, only “he” or “she”. The actual word “he” is in the Hebrew text as well as being included in the verb . . .which means HE is repeated twice: Literally, “HE+, HE+ shall bruise thy head.” This is written this way in Hebrew for emphasis. The same is true for “thou” when GOD is speaking to the serpent here.
FULFILLMENT :
GALATIANS 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, GOD sent forth HIS SON+, made of a woman, made under the Law of Moses 4:5 To redeem them that were under the Law of Moses, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
GALATIANS 4:6 And because ye are sons, GOD hath sent forth the SPIRIT of HIS SON+ into your hearts, crying, ABBA, FATHER. 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of GOD through CHRIST.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5 ~ PROPHECY :
GENESIS 22:18 And in thy SEED+ shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed MY Voice.
FULFILLMENT :
GALATIANS 3:16 Now to Abraham and his SEED+ were the promises made. HE saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of ONE, And to THY SEED+, which is CHRIST.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6 ~ PROPHECY :
GENESIS 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
GENESIS 49:10 The SCEPTRE shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto HIM+ shall the gathering of the people be.
FULFILLMENT :
HEBREWS 7:14 For it is evident that our LORD sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. 7:15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, 7:16 Who+ is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
HEBREWS 7:17 For HE GOD testifieth, THOU+ art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7 ~ PROPHECY :
NUMBERS 24:16 HeBALAAM hath said, which heard the words of GOD, and knew the knowledge of the MOST HIGH, which saw the vision of the ALMIGHTY, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
NUMBERS 24:17 I BALAAM shall see HIM+, but not now: I shall behold HIM+, but not nigh: there shall come a STAR+ out of Jacob, and a SCEPTRE shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
FULFILLMENT :
MATTHEW 2:1 Now when JESUS was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the East to Jerusalem, 2:2 Saying, Where is HE+ that is born KING+ of the Jews? for we have seen His+ star in the East, and are come to worship Him+.
2 PETER 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the DAY STAR+ arise in your hearts:
REVELATION 22:16 I+ Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I+ am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright and morning STAR+.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8 ~ PROPHECY :
DEUTERONOMY 18:18 I [GOD ] will raise them up a PROPHET from among their brethren, like unto thee [ Moses ], and will put MY words in His+ Mouth; and HE+ shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him+.
DEUTERONOMY 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto MY Words which HE+ shall speak in MY Name, I will require it of him.
FULFILLMENT :
John 1:20 And he JOHN the Baptist confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the CHRIST.
John 1:21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias ELIJAH? And he saith, I am not. ART THOU THAT PROPHET? And he answered, No.
John 1:22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
John 1:23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the LORD, as said the prophet Esaias ISAIAH.
John 6:14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that JESUS did, said, This is of a truth THAT PROPHET that should come into the world.
Acts 3:22 [ Words of the Apostle Peter after the lame man was healed in the name of JESUS, on Solomon’s Porch in the Temple ] For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A PROPHET shall the LORD your GOD raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; HIM+ shall ye hear in all things whatsoever HE+ shall say unto you.
Acts 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear THAT PROPHET, shall be destroyed from among the people.
