ADVENT 2022 ~ HE+ Came to KNIT Us Together! ~Colossians 2:2

 

Wonderful TRUTH here !  

 The BODY of CHRIST, the Flock of GOD, is nourished in every part, in every instance, and in every way  by holding onto THE HEAD+  Who+ is CHRIST JESUS our LORD. 

HE+ came to knit His+ Body together , knitting each person to HIMSELF+ first,  then securely knitting each one into the Flock as HE+ sees fit .

We do not function outside of this knitted “garment” which only The LORD JESUS can knit together in HIM+.  

Now, keep in mind that SOME strands are NOT designated for the center of the garment.  Indeed, some strands are positioned on the edge or even on the inside fold of the garment, unseen by everyone but HIM+. Nonetheless, HE+ worketh all into the garment according to The Pattern. 

We are thin little strands, with our hearts being coupled together by our mutual love of JESUS , being entwined  by The HOLY SPIRIT into strong, unbreakable, holy yarn. This is Holy Yarn, like the world has never seen nor can ever duplicate.

 The several double-pointed knitting needles HE+ uses function as one instrument:  The  WORD of GOD.

NOW NOTE THIS:  Wise knitters use rubber tips at the dormant end of their double-pointed needles to keep the dormant stitches on the needle. Those “rubber tips” are His+ Standards so we stitches do not drop off the needle and make a mess , a “run” in the fabric of the garment. 

[ Dropped stitches are a problem to spot, a problem to grab --- being very elusive ---  , and a BIG problem to align them properly back into the garment without twisting the stitches out of shape, making the garment itself lop-sided . ]

The “garment” is His+ Workmanship which HE+ is forming into a Garment of Praise.

The pattern ?

The Will of GOD, of course.

Colossians 2

 ¹ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

² That their hearts might be comforted,

being knit together in love,

and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of GOD, and of THE FATHER, and of CHRIST; . . .

^2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

^2:19 And not holding THE HEAD+, from Which+ all the Body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered,

and knit together, increaseth

with the increase of GOD.

Wonderful TRUTH here ! Let us stay close to the heart of JESUS .  Let us allow HIM+ to have His+ Way, His+ Will in our lives. 

If we do this, we will be knit together in love for  CHRIST JESUS and in HIM+, to do The FATHER’S Will. 

That is what HE+ came to do: To form us into the Body of CHRIST to be a Garment of Praise upon this whole earth.
