Though HE+ were a SON+,
yet learned HE+ obedience
by the things which HE+ suffered;

This series of Lenten / Passover Meditations will reflect the 6th Hour Prayer ( noon ) . Today, many liturgical churches continue to observe these ancient prayer hours. They were based upon the prayer hours in the Temple in Jerusalem.
The 6th Hour Prayer occurred at the same time that the earth was darkened at Noon, on the day The LORD JESUS was Crucified.
6TH HOUR (NOON) PRAYER
Heavenly FATHER, We come before YOU at this 6th hour of the ancient day to honor Your Beloved SON+, our LORD. . . Who+ at this hour remained on the Cross for our sakes, suspended between earth and Heaven, in patient suffering, from the hour of the Morning Sacrifice until this hour . . . to make a perfect sacrifice for us.
We thank YOU that at this hour of His+ patient suffering, YOU sent forth darkness to cover the whole earth . . . as a sign that could not be over-looked nor ignored by anyone.

We praise YOU for sending the LIGHT+ of the world, Your beloved SON+, and for His+ perfect obedience and perfect submission to Your WILL for our sakes, showing us how to come to YOU, through HIM+.

LIGHT . . . the first thing GOD, The ELOHIM, created on the first Day of Creation. This LIGHT which GOD created obeyed HIM.
Genesis 1:3 And GOD said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:4 And GOD saw the light, that it was good: and GOD divided the light from the darkness.
And evening and morning of the first day was Created and it has remained so since that First Day of Creation .
Consider this: the sun had NOT YET BEEN created when The ELOHIM formed evening and morning of the first Day. [ It was the 4th Day of Creation when the sun, moon , and stars were created. ]
GOD The SON+ was the “Second Economy” ( as so stated in the AnteNicene Fathers ) in the GODHEAD, The ELOHIM.
HE+ Who+ is the LIGHT of the World was there on the First Day of Creation. YET , this very ONE+ Who+ enlightens every man who comes into the world John 1:9 , learned obedience by the things which HE+ suffered.

yet learned HE+ obedience
by the things which HE+ suffered;

Because our LORD JESUS CHRIST submitted HIMSELF+ perfectly to the WILL of our Heavenly FATHER, we can too.
Because our LORD JESUS CHRIST “learned obedience by the things which HE+ suffered” , we are enabled to do the same.
Many an unknown, unrecognized Follower of JESUS CHRIST in many an unknown location across this earth has learned obedience through the things that he / she suffered.
HE+ set the example for us in this, going before us and sanctifying ALL of our sufferings BECAUSE we refuse to deny that JESUS is LORD , to the glory of GOD the FATHER. . . no matter calamity what has befallen us.
Even without Persecution, if we are suffering physically or emotionally, we can yet “learn obedience” through our sufferings and serious disappointments and heartaches in life.
YES ! We can YET proclaim the Goodness and Righteousness and HOLINESS of our LORD JESUS . . . . without bitterness at the portion we have received in life.
WITHOUT BITTERNESS . . .
Many, many a Follower of JESUS CHRIST has learned to do this through terrible trials and heart-aches EVEN WHILE NOT BEING PERSECUTED for their faith by the powers that be.
Are we mature ENOUGH in CHRIST to proclaim His+ un-swerving Character of GOODNESS and MERCY when we walk through our assigned portion of earthly trials and heartaches ?
If not, then we need to ponder that The LIGHT+ of the world was assigned this lesson in His+ Flesh: to learn obedience through the things which HE+ suffered.

by the things which HE+ suffered;

Knowing this: His+ unfailing HELP will sustain us when we join HIM+ on that Cross of Suffering which HE+ PERMITS to come into our life.
Yes, HE+ can and does lift from us many earthly sufferings, but some HE+ allows . . . so that we can be perfected in Holiness and made fit for the wonderful Kingdom of GOD.
