LENTEN MEDITATION 20~~~ The Judgment Seat of CHRIST
For the Year of Our LORD, 2.25.2008
Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent,
we may be accepted of HIM+.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord,
we persuade men;
but we are made manifest unto God;
and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Whatever could this frightening passage mean? Was it written by just any believer?
No. It was written by the Apostle Paul.
Then, perhaps it was written to non-Christians?
No. The Apostle Paul was writing to the church of CHRIST at Corinth.

Perhaps he was writing about the back-sliders… for we all know the Corinthian church was beset by BIG problems.
But, no, wrong again.
The Apostle Paul was discussing his own ministry from Chapter 4 through Chapter 6!
Yes, it does mean exactly what it says.
[How should we then live?]
