Meditations for the Monastic-At-Heart
Now is My+ soul troubled;
and what shall I+ say ...
FATHER,
save ME+
from this hour ?
but for this cause
came I+ unto this hour.
FATHER,
Glorify Thy Name.
Then
came there a Voice from Heaven, saying,
I have both glorified IT,
and will glorify IT again.

Meditation Verse
Ephesians 1:10
That in the dispensation of
the fullness of times HE might gather together in
one all things in CHRIST, both which are in heaven, and which are on
earth; even in HIM+:
In this verse, there are some
major translation problems within the KJV. Those
issues are dealt with below the meditation and prayer and praise.
For our purposes then, let us
read the verse literally, from the Greek, expanded to make sense from the
context.
[ ...
Having made know unto us the Mystery of HIS
Will according to HIS good
pleasure which HE purposed in HIMSELF] ...
...unto (GOD'S) management of
the fullness of times TO
HEAD-UP AGAIN (GOD HIMSELF doing it) all things in CHRIST, both
which are in the Heavens, and which are on earth; even in HIM+:

Meditation
If translated literally,
this verse gives us
some EXCITING truths !
1. HIS Will continues
IN MYSTERY for most of mankind through the ages .
2. HIS Will always
works as a steward or administrator , in the best economy possible, managing
creation , directing His Household of Saints, and moving mankind in the DIRECTION
HE WANTS.
3. HIS WILL
administrates or orchestrates all things and all eras unto completion in CHRIST.
4. HIS WILL
culminates or brings to the very highest point HIS good
pleasure, done by The FATHER HIMSELF WHO...
5. ...has given CHRIST
JESUS the HEADSHIP of all things in Heaven and in earth...
6. ... AGAIN!
Thus, The
FATHER RE-ESTABLISHES HIS Beloved SON+ JESUS
CHRIST to HEADSHIP over the whole realm.
In this verse, we see the FATHER
HIMSELF culminating the HEADSHIP of all things in CHRIST, completing the
purpose of GOD for this present earth and this present Heaven...
...AS IT WAS
IN THE BEGINNING of time !
That at the Name of JESUS
every knee shall bow,
of beings in Heaven,
and beings on earth,
and beings under the earth;
That every tongue
should confess
that JESUS CHRIST is LORD,
to the glory of GOD The FATHER.
Philippians 2
Interestingly enough, the
Syriac-Aramaic translators have the word RESTORED or RENEWED rather than the literal Greek TO-HEAD-UP-
AGAIN.
Of a TRUTH, we will see all of
creation being REstored to Our
LORD because it was His+ to begin with!
At the fall of man, the satan
ruined man and the world with him. The LORD CHRIST will restore both the world
and regenerated mankind back to their pristine nature without the ruination of sin... when HE+
re-assumes His+ HEADSHIP !
"Sin has disarranged
the creature's relation of subordination to GOD," is stated in Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown's Commentary (1976
Reprint ed.,Vol. 3, pg 400, Ephesians 1:10 ).
Luke tells
us the same thing in Acts 3:19-21 :
Repent ye therefore,
and be converted,
that your sins may be
blotted out,
when the times of refreshing
shall come from the
Presence of the LORD.
And he shall send JESUS CHRIST,
WHO+ before was preached
unto you:
WHOM+ the Heaven must receive
until the times of restitution*
of all things,
which GOD hath spoken
by the mouth of all HIS holy prophets
since the world began.

Bless GOD:
The FATHER,
HIS Beloved SON+
our LORD JESUS CHRIST,
and the Blessed HOLY SPIRIT:
ONE GOD,
world without end
to the ages of the ages.
Amen.

Let
us pray:
Ah LORD GOD, Behold, THOU
hast made the Heavens and the earth by Thy great power and stretched-out arm
and there is nothing is too hard for THEE.
Even
our fears are not too hard for THEE.
We
beseech THEE to help us stay focused upon THEE during these troublous times.
Help us to Watch with THEE,
as Thy plan unfolds to bring this rebellious planet under submission to Thy
Beloved SON+ JESUS once again.
LORD JESUS, O,
how we long for Thy+ return to restore all things, to bring everything under
Thy+ HEADSHIP.
And... let Thy+ Headship begin with me.
In
the sublime Name of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST...
the same yesterday, today and forever... I pray. Amen

ANALYSIS
OF EPHESIANS 1:10
First: DISPENSATION
The word used in the Greek
Text is similar to
"house-management" or stewardship. Some Greek translators render it
administration.
Strong's states: (3622) oijkonomi>a, — oy-kon-om-ee’-ah; from (3623) (oijkono>mov); administration (of a household or estate); specially a
(religious) “economy”: — dispensation, stewardship.
It seems the word
"dispensation" itself was taken directly from the Latin Vulgate
instead of translating from the Greek text, in the KJV.
Thus,
the phrase That in the dispensation of
the fulness of times... means:
That
in [GOD'S] management of the fullness of times...
The
second issue is with the phrase:
...HE might gather together in one...
None
of those words are in the Greek text.
There is only one word used
in the Greek text and this phrase simply does not capture the meaning of that
word.
If the Apostle Paul intended to
say that phrase, there are sufficient words in the Greek language to
specifically write those words.
That one Greek word in this
verse is anakephalaiomai.
·
It is made of the prefix ana
= up, back, again,
which is added to the root word…
·
kephalA
= head,
·
Or in this case, the verb kephalaio0
= to sum up, to bring under heads ( from Vines, pg.
295).
·
This verb is an infinitive aorist middle
> > > Obviously,
HEADSHIP has
been omitted in the English translations.
> > > So has the concept of AGAIN, found in the
prefix "ana."
Indeed, the Greek grammar has
been over-looked too in the KJV, as this verb in this verse is
an infinitive aorist middle verb.
The literal grammar, then,
tells us that in the phrase:
...HE might gather together in one...
the usage of "might"
is changing the tense from infinitive aorist -- an act , a fact -- to one that
is probable.
Some translators have used
"to sum up," to bring the translation in line with the grammar, as
the infinitive, but it is misunderstood generally as making a
"summary."
The "middle" part of
the verb generally infers an action that is reflexive or involves the subject
doing something for or within himself.
Thus, we could benefit from the
literal translation of that verse, which continues from verse 9 :
[ ... Having made know unto us the Mystery
of HIS Will according to HIS good
pleasure which HE purposed in HIMSELF] ...
...unto ( The FATHER’S) management of
the fulness of times TO
HEAD-UP AGAIN (The FATHER HIMSELF doing it) all things in CHRIST, both
which are in the Heavens, and which are on earth; even in HIM+:
Yes, in THE HEAVENS is plural in the Greek text.
Yes, in THE HEAVENS is plural in the Greek text.
Also, at least two Pre-Nicene
church writers have written that the HEADSHIP of CHRIST JESUS was
meant in Ephesians 1:10.
See: Irenaeus
Against Heresies, Ante-Nicene Fathers, V. 1, Book 3,

chapter 16, section 6
·
chapter 20, section 2
·
chapter 21, sections 1 and 2
Tertullian
Against Marcion,
ANF, V.
3, Book v, chapter 17, footnote 4.
The Syriac / Aramaic Peshitta has (NeTH
CHaDaT) "renew", as does the Latin text which has INSTAURARE,
"restore" or "renew," instead of HEADSHIP.
