What Unthinkable MADNESS 

Has Overtaken This World 

in which we live ?

It makes NO sense to foment civil war in "other" countries... and then ship 35 million refugees or so from these war-torn areas into cultures as foreign to them as the refugees are to the native citizens.

Yet, this was planned about 4 decades ago BY WORLD LEADERS.

It makes NO sense for Shariah Law to be “welcomed” into nations which have rejected, refused, and mocked the Ten Commandments, nations which have had them for centuries.

Is it reasonable that the Western Civilized woman will accept a burka and cover her head… when she barely covers her body parts in public and stridently defends her “right” to be naked wherever and whenever she wants ?

Yet, that dichotomy of values is being foisted upon Western Civilization. Is anarchy REALLY being courted by the government as a “good” thing ?

It makes NO sense to purposefully cause anarchy amongst the citizenry.

Yet, the conflicts are rampant in every nation receiving the influx of people from these pre-planned refugee crises.   

It makes NO sense to arm both sides of a war ... or to create an armed conflict out of hired mercenaries of young people who are out of control and thirst to shed blood.

Yet, it is being done daily by clever collaborators in the "RainBow House" in the city of baal, District of Controllers.

It makes NO sense to agree to allow Israel’s AGGRESSIVE and diabolical enemy to develop nuclear weapons … and to censure Israel for having the same for protection of its country.

Has the world NO sense of fair play… and are there NO global leaders who are ASHAMED of that un-fair treatment ? Not toward Israel, it seems.

.

It makes NO sense to spend $500 MILLION a YEAR to remove babies from the safety of their mother's womb, chop them up, harvest AND SELL their little parts... when that much money could have given the babies a safe and caring place to live and grow.

Furthermore,  if each baby had been awarded ONE MILLION DOLLARS since Wade vs Roe ... that would have only amounted to 60 MILLION DOLLARS ... a mere 12 percent of ONE YEAR’S Planned "Parent"hood budget ... and a one-time expense, at that ! 

That would have provided a tremendous savings in public monies and a tremendous savings in these little lives... and a tremendous weight against the Judgement about to fall on this "RainBow" Nation, BABYlon the Great. 

It simply makes NO sense ... not morally nor spiritually nor financially. The "dollar" somehow is not "speaking" nor making itself heard in this case, is it ?

It makes NO sense for the Supreme Court to CHANGE the definition of marriage in this land ... in order to grant to same-gender unions the same income tax "breaks" which are offered to NORMAL, married couples.

It seems this "issue" of UN-Christian unions should have been dealt with by the IRS, not the Supreme Court of this land, which is NOT SUPPOSED to be making "laws" of this land ... nor enforcing them.

How difficult could it be for the form-loving IRS to make yet another bracket for domestic households called "domestic unions" or "domestic partnerships" ?  That would not be GODLY, but at least it would not be termed a "marriage" ... and confused with the entity recognized and sanctioned by Holy Scriptures.

The IRS does this for commercial endeavors at will. The IRS could set up "licensing" or certification for such same-gender unions.  If every thing else under the sun can be regulated by licenses and certificates and fees ... from hunting and fishing through birth and death ... it should be no problem. 

It is simply a matter of forms. But, do not use a Biblical word and concept to describe an UNHOLY and deformed union!

It makes NO sense.

Yes, morality can NOT be legalized... 

and thus, neither should IMMORALITY.

Therefore, if IT MAKES NO SENSE to do these things, then WHY are they being done ... across the globe?

Even WORSE, these senseless things have been agreed upon by the nations which have the HIGHEST levels of education, health, and wealth that the recorded WORLD has EVER SEEN !

HERE IS WHY:

A golden cup is BABYlon in the hand of YWHW, making drunk all the earth, of her wine have the nations drunk; therefore the nations are MAD.

Jeremiah 51:7

Now, it ALL MAKES SENSE.

Scripture does NOT lie.  

Scripture cannot be broken.

Men lie.  

Men break their word.

YWHW of the Divine Heavenly Armies DOES NOT BREAK HIS WORD ... ever.

Scripture is being fulfilled... just like HE+ said it would be.

And there followed another angel, saying, BABYlon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Revelation 14:8

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great BABYlon came in remembrance before GOD, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS+ wrath.

Weep not, Behold, the LION+ of the TRIBE of JUDAH has prevailed to open the BOOK and to loose the 7 seals thereof.

And has made us unto our GOD a Kingdom of Priests and we shall reign upon the earth.

Simon, sleepest thou?

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Meditation ~ ~ 

Simon Peter had two names:  Simon, son of Jonas, and Peter, the little rock, the familiar name given unto him by The LORD. 

Two names... two names indicate two operations within this beloved follower of JESUS: the human, fleshy man and the Re-generated Man. 

Notice in Scripture WHEN each name is addressed to Peter by The LORD.

Luke 22: 31-32

 And the LORD said, Simon, Simon, behold, the satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

 But I+  have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

At Watch for One Hour With The LORD .... 

How can we think to stand for CHRIST JESUS in these perilous times if we do not watch with HIM+ before the battle begins ? 

Do not be mistaken: if we SOW to the flesh, if we are so active and involved with even GOOD temporal things, that we MAKE NO TIME TO WATCH WITH HIM+ for an hour ...   

... we will not be prepared 

to STAND with CHRIST JESUS 

when the wrath of the satan 

is stirred against those 

who follow HIM+. 

Prayer  ~ ~ ~ 

O LORD CHRIST, awake me from my slumber. Arouse the Spirit within me to draw me into wakeful prayer. Help me to be MORE ALERT to the spiritual work you have placed upon me, to fight with the NON-FLESHLY weapons of our warfare. 

Lo, O LORD CHRIST, THOU+ hast given me Thy+ Word that the weapons of our warfare do NOT deal with the carnal but with the spiritual , and thus , are MIGHTY THROUGH GOD to the pulling down of strongholds built by the wicked spiritual entities parading across this globe ... for a short hour. 

Help me to be diligent to use these weapons by staying close to THEE+, O CHRIST, and to hear Thy+ Directions, O Captain of the Divine Heavenly Armies. 

Amen, and thankfully so, through the Authority of the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST, and with all the Authority His+ Blood and His+ Name grants us, according to His+ Will,  I do pray.

A Little FOLLY GIVES A LOT of STENCH

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a STINKING SAVOR: so doth A LITTLE FOLLY him that is in reputation for wisdom and honor.

Dead flies putrefy the perfumer's ointment and cause it to give off A FOUL ODOR;  So does A LITTLE FOLLY  to one respected for wisdom and honor.

Meditation ~  ~  ~

DEPORTMENT, how we conduct ourselves, is IMPORTANT, according to Scriptures. 

Wise King Solomon himself weakened his own witness and weakened Israel by his folly of having so many wives and concubines. 

A little joking and jesting, a clever remark, a witty saying ...  all these mannerisms DETRACT from the serious deportment needed by a serious man or woman of GOD. 

Is our mind ~ and hence, our conversation, our mode of behavior ~  upon Heavenly things?  Or rather, do we carry of primary importance our clever and witty "interaction" with others ? 

Are we bold and insistent with the sales clerks at the stores or in the shops ? Is our voice less than moderate so that others BESIDES the one we are addressing  have to hear our concerns too ?  

And never forget: a somber demeanor is helped by somber dress.  Quiet colors and dark solids carry more weight in witnessing than loud and sassy and fashionable garments. Modest clothing, not form-fitting nor revealing , carries more weight in witnessing, also. 

A covering on the head of women who are dressed in dresses ( or ample skirts or jumpers), long pants and long sleeves for men, go a long way towards somber dressing befitting a visible Christian witness. 

Here is a rule of thumb:  

When in public, if no-one EVER has come up to you when you are by yourself and asked you to pray for his or her concerns or his/her loved ones... then this is likely true: your public demeanor and dress are OUT OF LINE with Scriptures. You are not bearing a visible witness to CHRIST JESUS. 

No-one recognizes you for being a Christian, alas ! Your visible witness as separated unto CHRIST JESUS has vanished, replaced with only a witness for Self... like the rest of the public.

Prayer ~ ~ ~ 

Dear LORD JESUS, O THOU+ Who+ wast known to weep more than laugh as THOU+  didst walk this earth among men, teach us to not mingle a little folly in our conduct.  

Teach us to set aside the "Old Man" ways that we have developed to serve Self. Help us to reflect THY+  Character, not our Self, as we interact in this fallen world. 

May others see THEE+ and not us...  May others be drawn to THEE+ and not us.... May THOU+  be glorified and lifted up, so that all men may be drawn unto THEE+, the giver of Life, the ONLY Name given under Heaven among men whereby we must be saved. 

This we pray in Thy+ Name, O Blessed SAVIOR, Our LORD JESUS CHRIST... in Whom+ we live and move and have our being. Amen.

The GLOBAL ANTI-CHRIST... as Seen Through NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S Dream

… extending through space, the anti-CHRIST/ anti-MESSIAH , who is about to be revealed, has been on planet earth a long time.

I John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that JESUS CHRIST is come in the flesh is not of GOD: and this is that spirit of anti-CHRIST, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

That same anti-CHRIST has been here as long as, in as many eons as, Lucifer has been… he who initiated the Cosmic Rebellion when Rahab was smitten into pieces and began orbitting this solar system as the “asteroid belt” between Mars and jupiter.

… through space, through spatial dimensions, that awful image Nebuchadnezzar saw … and was willing to slay the wisest men over  … is NOT LIMITED to the ancient history pages of the Babylon, Persian, Greek, and Roman empires.

A Brief Look at Daniel’s Historic Interpretation…

.

Very accurately, the Prophet Daniel, Beloved of GOD, revealed and interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream to him about the 4 world powers — one was and 3 were coming — in chapter 2 of the book of Daniel.

.

This IMAGE which Nebuchadnezzar “saw” in a dream represented 4 kingdoms, as Daniel said.  In Ancient History , Daniel’s interpretation to Nebuchadnezzar was accurate. 

.

His interpretation was limited, however, to the powerful empires which concerned Israel, having to do specifically with the coming of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, The Eternal WORD+ Incarnate: Babylon, Persia, Greece, and the Roman Empire. 

.

• Babylon was the powerful Middle Eastern empire of the Captivity when the southern Kingdom of Judah forsook the Covenant.

.

• Persia, under Cyrus, conquered the weakened Babylonian Empire and became a ruling Mid-East empire. It allowed Jews to return to Jerusalem from captivity and the eventual rebuilding of the Temple… the basic Temple in which Our LORD walked.   

.

• Greece, conquering Persia, replaced Aramaic as the dominant world language of learning and commerce.

.

• The Roman Empire, absorbing Greece, conquered the Mediterranean Sea lands, built roads, and ruled with its fist of iron over the Holy Land, being the civic instrument of cruelty which crucified Our LORD.

.

Thus, the 4 historical empires interpreted by Daniel to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, were true and accurate for the era of time concerning Israel and the Coming of Our LORD Incarnate.   

.

Daniel’s Silence on the Latter Day Verses…

.

However, Daniel’s interpretation in chapter 2 was silent about 5 important verses.

.

He did NOT reveal the interpretation concerning the “Latter Day” events  mentioned in verses 34, 35, 43, 44, and 45, even though Nebuchadnezzar saw these events clearly in his dream.

.

Here are those 5 verses of the Latter Day Events in Daniel chapter 2:

.

• 2:34 Thou sawest till that a STONE was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

.

• 2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind ( Heb “RUACH” = spirit ) carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the STONE that smote the image became a Great Mountain, and filled the whole earth.

• 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

.

• 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the GOD of Heaven set up a Kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the Kingdom shall not be left to other people, but IT shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and IT shall stand for ever.

.

• 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the STONE was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that IT brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great GOD hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

.

The EVER-LASTING Kingdom in Other Prophetic Scriptures…

.

Now, looking ahead to Daniel , Chapter  7, verses, we see again that same Everlasting Kingdom which fills the whole earth.

.

• 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the SON+ of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ANCIENT of DAYS and they brought HIM+ near before HIM.

.

• 7:14 And there was given HIM+ dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve HIM+: HIS+ dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and HIS+ kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

.

And looking far, far ahead in Revelation, chapter 11, is yet another picture of this same Everlasting Kingdom established by Our LORD and set up upon this earth.

.

• 11:15   And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our LORD, and of HIS CHRIST; and HE+ shall reign for ever and ever.

.

The Dream-IMAGE Unifies into a

ONE-WORLD Evil EMPIRE…

.

In Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image, we can actually re-configure the image’s body parts to see 7 stout components revealed in verses 32-33, which fulfills the Latter Days vision:

 .

• head = fine gold

• breast = silver

• arms = silver

• belly = brass

• thighs = brass

• legs = iron

• feet = part iron, part clay

.

These 7 components now make up one UNIFIED image… a picture of the entire world, a global UNIT.   

.

The dream-image is diversified as far as appearance, specific weight, and function … but it is NO LONGER DIVIDED into 4 different Kingdoms.

that is, e pluribus unum.

The 7 Continents in REVELATION 17…

In these Latter Days, Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-IMAGE has to do with 7 components or, if you will, the 7 continents across the globe instead of individual empires or kingdoms…. in accordance with Revelation 17 Scriptures.

• 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

.

• 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth   have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

.

• 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

.

• 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

.

• 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Could this be …

a Valid Interpretation

of those 5 un-interpreted Verses

in Daniel 2 ?

Here is an interesting clue: the numbers, 7 and 10 , found in Revelation during the latter days  , are also coupled together in Daniel’s account of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image.

.

The 7 continents , the 7 components of the dream-IMAGE,  and the 10 toes, which are coupled together in the Latter Day event, indicate that the STONE+ will be dealing with the ENTIRE, UNIFIED IMAGE that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream.  

.

Revelation 17 …

• 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

.

• 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

• 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

.

• 17:13 These have ONE MIND and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

This anti-CHRIST image is still existing and working its evil across the globe.

.

The same evils, the same voice screaming out in rage things against CHRIST, the same hatred of the Followers of CHRIST JESUS — and GOD’S ancient people, the Jews, who brought forth the MESSIAH+, the SEED+ of Abraham — can be seen in every country, in every continent.

Yes… even in Antarctica.

Scriptural prophecy deals specifically with those nations and peoples who come AGAINST Israel. 

.

This GLOBAL prophecy discerned from Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image does the same.  Only at this point in the history of the Adamic race, “Israel”  is the “Israel of GOD”  … which includes the WHOLE HOUSE of ISRAEL, both the Jews and the Followers of JESUS , the grafted-in.

Back to the “10”…

.

Even now, those heretofore unseen and unknown “10 kings” of Revelation 17 are working to mingle the seed of the Adamic race with STRANGE SEED, as in Genesis 6.

.

Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-image has mixed miry clay and iron together in its feet and 10 toes. What is “clay” but the sons of Adam ?   

.

“They,” Scripture says,  “ shall mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they shall not cleave one to another.” 

.

At no time in history, has this dream-IMAGE been destroyed.  It has existed behind the scenes, operating its woes since mankind walked on planet earth.  It is the image of the anti-CHRIST .

.

When IT IS FINISHED, when time shall be no more, that STONE+ will hurl down from ITS+ Heavenly Mountain and there will be no escaping IT+.

in Matthew 21:

• 21:42 JESUS saith unto them, Did ye never read in the Scriptures, The STONE+ which the builders rejected, the SAME+ is become the HEAD+ of the corner: this is the LORD’S doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

• 21:43 Therefore say I+ unto you, The Kingdom of GOD shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

• 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this STONE+ shall be broken: but on whomsoever IT+ shall fall, IT+ will grind him to powder.

These shall make war with the LAMB+,

Arise, Great High Priest, Eternal WORD+,  from FATHER’S Right Hand and come forth in Flaming Fire to TAKE VENGEANCE, to lock away the lying adversary and the lying minions that serve him into the abyss for the Thousand years, and reign, O Mighty One+ on the earth with a Rod of Iron, and DESTROY the Gross Darkness that covers the earth,

JOB.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. .

1:2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. 1:3 His substance also was … and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. 1:4 And his sons …  feasted … and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said,

It may be that my sons have sinned, and CURSED GOD   in their hearts. Thus did Job  continually.

1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 1:7 And the LORD said unto the satan, Whence comest thou? Then the satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

1:8 And the LORD said unto the satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth GOD, and eschews evil?

1:9 Then the satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear GOD for nought?

.1:10 Hast not THOU made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? THOU hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will CURSE THEE to Thy Face.

1:12 And the LORD said unto the satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So the satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

The Accuser of GOD and Job…

The accuser begins by accusing the LORD !

The satan says the only reason Job fears and worships GOD is because GOD protects him, his household, and his many possessions.

In other words, the satan accuses The LORD of bribing Job to worship HIM.

If GOD allows the satan to hurt JOB’S family, friends, possessions, and great reputation ( the satan boldly asserts ), then JOB would no longer worship GOD , the giver of all these blessings. The accuser said that Job would instead cease to worship GOD and “CURSE” HIM to His Face.

Next, the accuser moves from GOD to Job.  The accuser implies that Job only woships GOD due to his great and bountiful blessings… not because JOB loves GOD… not because Job obeys GOD… not because Job honors GOD for being WHO HE is .

A Very Big Textual Problem…

 After this, we encounter a BIG problem in the verses, twice written. This problem is found with the translation of the word for “CURSE.”

There are 10 Hebrew words used throughout the Old Covenant for either “a curse” ( noun )  — or else a form similar to one of the nouns — made into a verb ” to curse.”  Ten such Hebrew words are scattered throughout the Old Covenant.

The four times “CURSE ” is used in Job, however, it does NOT involve ANY of those 10 Hebrew words … and does not even remotely resemble any one of them .

.The Job verses with “curse” in them include: Job 1:5, 1:11 ( both quoted above,) and verses 2:5 and 2:9.

An Easy Bit of Hebrew…   

All four Job verses have the familiar Hebrew word  “BARAK” (or its form) in them… which means “BLESS”  as in  …

 Baruch Ha Shem ADONAI +  

Blessed (be) the Name of The LORD. 

BARAK , in either noun form or verb, is listed in approximately 3 and 1/2 columns  of reference verses in Young’s Analytical Concordance to the Bible … roughly 350 verses in the Old Covenant … and it always has to do with BLESSING. 

BARAK, in these four Job verses ,

is translated as CURSE.

  Why ? To unfathom the reason for this, we will have to look at the usage of BARAK as it was originally intended.

The origin or root of BARAK is “to kneel.”  One would customarily kneel to receive a patristic blessing.  

Customarily, a blessing would also be pronounced when one was departing from a visit to someone’s house or tent. Thus, it was used when SENDING SOMEONE AWAY from your presence or on a journey. It was a DISMISSAL, if you will.

Thus, DISMISSAL — a sending away — is the more accurate translation into English of the Hebrew BARAK, which fits the context of those 4 verses in JOB.  [ This also is true of the Greek word used in those Job verses in the LXX , a “eulogy.”]

Why is the correct concept of “DISMISSAL” So Important in these Job Verses ?

 Serious Christians who run into HARD  TIMES would NOT “curse” GOD.  That does not seem to be the danger addressed by Job.

1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and CURSED GOD   in their hearts. Thus did Job  continually.

Conscientious Job most likely raised his sons and daughters to fear The LORD. But, after days of feasting and merry-making at the family get-togethers,

…Job was concerned that GOD ( for all intents and purposes ) would be forgotten by his sons and daughters.

For, when do we THINK on JESUS most intensely … during our times of ease and merry-making… or during our times of hurt and pain, stress and distress ? 

A Christian facing death thinks more constantly about The LORD than one who is healthy, active, and going about his daily temporal duties. 

When are we MOST in danger ? It is when we forget GOD, when we “set” JESUS on the back shelf so we can “play” or relax. 

Our shield is down.

The Ancient, Pre-Nicene Christians refused to attend the games and the theaters and the baths for this very reason. They considered it DANGEROUS , spiritually dangerous, to be in the devil’s playing field. Hence, the admonition for sobriety.

Be sober, as the Apostle Peter tells us:

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant;

because your adversary the devil,

as a roaring lion, walketh about,

seeking whom he may devour:

When do we forget GOD ?  It is when things are going well, relatively speaking. When we are happy, relaxed, and contented. That is when we do not monitor ourselves as closely and joking and foolish jesting bubble up to the surface.  That is when we are not on guard against the evil one and his wiles.

We “set” JESUS aside when we are feeling good and want to play. We simply do not want to be bothered with sobriety and seriousness of heart. 

We IGNORE our LORD…  and the nudgings of the HOLY SPIRIT … when we are merry-making.

In all 4 verses of Job where CURSE is found, the concept really ought to be “dismissing GOD from our thoughts.”  We want to go our separate way, just for a bit perhaps, but we want to do our own thing, free from the constraints of holiness.

THAT is the danger addressed in those four verses. 

Furthermore, that tendency  “to dismiss GOD” from our doings is dangerous in our own lives. This is why we are to be a separate people from the culture that we live in and the reason we cultivate our LORD’S value system at all times.

That danger  — to “dismiss” GOD — from our thinking is GREATEST when things are going well.  

Keep watch, dear LORD,

with those who work, or watch, or weep this night,

and give your angels charge over those who sleep.

Tend the sick, LORD CHRIST; give rest to the weary,

bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted,

SHIELD THE JOYOUS;

and all for your love’s sake.
