Is Cultural CHRISTIANITY ... ENOUGH ?

Cultural Christianity is enough to have your village maidens kidnapped for a living nightmare --- but it is not enough Christianity when they return, to heal them and receive their illegitimate babies .

Is CULTURAL CHRISTIANITY Enough ?

Cultural Christianity is enough to have your village maidens kidnapped for a living nightmare --- but it is not enough Christianity when they return to heal them and receive their illegitimate babies .

See this link about Esther, a 17-year-old Christian girl who watched boko haram kill her ailing father as they dragged her away.

 Is CULTURAL CHRISTIANITY ENOUGH ?
When she escaped her captors, her cultural Christian village would not accept her .  Even her grandparents who survived the village attack called her names and rejected baby Rebecca.

Here is part of her story :

Throughout northeastern Nigeria, camps of displaced persons are filled with former Boko Haram captives whose families and communities have rejected them and forced them out of their community, leaving them to fend for themselves and their children.

They called my baby ‘Boko’

Esther says the baby she thought she could never love is now her “joy and laughter amid sadness.”
For Esther, this next unexpected wave persecution soon overshadowed her newfound freedom.

“They mocked me because I was pregnant,” she says. “Even my grandparents despised me and called me names. I cried many tears. I felt so lonely.

“What broke my heart, even more, was that they refused to call my daughter Rebecca. They referred to her only as ‘Boko.’”

At the Foot of the Cross

Providentially, Esther connected with Open Doors through the leaders of her church who invited her to attend an Open Doors trauma care seminar. During the training, the leaders encouraged Esther and the other participants to pour out all their pain and anguish at the foot of the Cross.

They encouraged them to trust in GOD, knowing that The LORD is willing and able to free them from the shame and anguish they harbored as victims of sexual violence.

Understanding the importance of surrendering their lives and addressing shame, the caregiver told the participants to write the burdens of their hearts on a piece of paper. She then asked them to pin that paper to the hand-carved wooden cross in the room.

“When I pinned that piece of paper to the cross, it felt like I was handing over all of my sorrow to God,” Esther says. “When the trainer later removed all the pieces of paper from the cross and burnt them to ashes, I felt like my sorrow and shame disappeared, never to come back again.”

Esther continued to receive trauma counseling.

Joy and Laughter Amid Sadness

A year after her return to her village, people still struggled to accept Esther and her daughter.

But they also noticed a change in the young teenage mother who stands as powerful evidence of God’s unending and transformative love and mercy. Esther is able to say she has peace with herself and what happened to her.

“People have noticed a change,” she says. “Some of those people who used to mock me now ask me my secret. I tell them, ‘I forgave my enemies and now trust God to take vengeance in His time.’"

 IS CULTURAL CHRISTIANITY ENOUGH ?

Cultural Christianity is enough to abhor sexual sins . . .  but it is NOT enough to stand against the spirits of rejection and defilement of those wounded, nor is it "enough" Christianity to bring healing to the traumatized young women who have been raped.

These young women are bullied in body and spirit by the unclean spirits . . .  and there is NOT ENOUGH of the Spirit of CHRIST  in the "Christian" villagers to even recognize the spiritual warfare which has over-powered the young victims.

Is The LORD JESUS pleased  with Cultural Christianity, which does not resemble HIM+ ?

Is HE+ pleased  that Cultural Christianity does not recognize demonic spirits which have attacked ?

HE+ has given His+ followers POWER over all these spirits; why are they not freeing the wounded ones ?

Is it because CHRIST JESUS does not abide
in the hearts of cultural Christians ?

Rather , cultural Christians abide by "the law" of custom and discriminate against the victims, blaming them for being defiled.

Is Cultural Christianity
that which is to be vomited out of the mouth
of our Returning LORD JESUS ?

REVELATION 3:16
So then because thou art lukewarm,
and neither cold nor hot,
I+ will spue thee out of My+ mouth.

It is a crying shame that Cultural Christians have poured shame upon the head of the victims of boko haram rape.

The cries of Shame, however, are going to increase on Judgment Day, for those cultural Christians who love their customs more than CHRIST.

For those who follow their "Christian" customs rather than following CHRIST JESUS as LORD, their shame will never end.

Is HE+ pleased
with Cultural Christianity ?

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die:
for I+  have not found thy works perfect
before GOD.
