3 DAYS and 3 NIGHTS in the Heart of the Earth ... What was HE+ DOING DOWN THERE ?

3 full DAYS and 3 full NIGHTS HE+ spent in the Heart of the Earth. What was HE+ doing down there all that time ?

  When HE+ had received the vinegar HE+ cried with a LOUD VOICE,  

" FATHER, INTO YOUR HANDS I+ COMMIT MY SPIRIT."

 Having said this HE+ bowed HIS+ Head and released HIS Spirit and Descended into the Heart of the Earth, leaving HIS+ tired Body on the Cross.

     And the Earth SHOOK 

and the rocks were sheared 

and the Veil of the Temple 

was torn in TWO... 

from TOP TO BOTTOM !

 Where did JESUS go during the Three days and Three nights?

   The Scripture states plainly from our LORD'S own lips that HE+ would be Three Days and Three Nights in The Heart of the Earth., the Realm of the departed human soul and spirit, called in the Hebrew sheol.

We follow the original timeline of The LORD+ being Crucified on the Wednesday at the morning Sacrifice at 9:00 AM, remaining there until 3:00 PM the hour of The Evening Sacrifice, releasing HIS+ Spirit into HIS+ FATHER'S keeping at that hour and descending into the heart of the earth.

HE+ came out of the Tomb a full three days and three nights later , at 3:00 PM Saturday evening, making three full days and three full nights in the heart of the earth.

 

HE+ was First SEEN by HIS+ Disciples very early the first day of the week. The confusion has come for many because there were TWO Sabbaths in that week: a High Holy Day plus the regular Saturday Sabbath.

   One thing we  know is where JESUS our LORD+ went when HE+ left the CROSS and HIS Crucified Body there because HE+ said so HIMSELF+.

Also... we can KNOW that HE+ went there as a Victor and a Conqueror! HE+ did not go there as some cults, some  groups, and yes, witches' covens, try to tell us,  to be tortured by satan. 

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

On HIS+ CROSS HE+ Broke satan's back and broke his head as well! JESUS said, "IT IS FINISHED!"  HE+ went into "sheol" in HIS+ FATHER'S STRENGTH, to the TERROR and HORROR of the Unclean rebel spirits.  ( Genesis 3:15 )

What did HE+ do during the three days and nights? 

.... WHATEVER HE+ WANTED TO DO !

 HE+ was CHRISTUS VICTOR!

CHRIST the VICTOR !

 Taking down the gates of Hell from the area called in Scriptures,  Abraham's Bosom ... only the dead could enter the realm of the departed human soul and spirit, but THIS ONE TIME... the Crucified , SECOND ADAM+ entered into it! 

For GOOD REASON Abraham "rejoiced to see HIS+ Day... He saw it ... and was GLAD !

Preparing HIMSELF+ to raise His Earthly Body as a GLORIFIED BODY, being the Second Adam,  as The prototype of The NEW BODIES THAT ALL WHO TRUST IN HIM+ and OBEY HIS+ Voice shall have in the  RESURRECTION unto  Eternal Life  with HIM+.

As our LORD+ JESUS said,

"NO man can take MY+ Life from ME+;

 This is part of what our Precious LORD+ was doing in the Three Days and Nights in the Heart of the earth!  

        HE+ also took with HIM+ those Righteous dead ones from the area of Abraham's Bosom, and brought them with HIM+ after HIS+ Resurrection, and sent them into Jerusalem to appear unto many there. 

    Ancient writings state that what they said to many in Jerusalem was that: "YESHUA of Nazareth who was Crucified and rejected by the religious leaders, IS THE MESSIAH! We are only her for a very short time to tell you this. We must leave and go with HIM where HE+ carries us. 

      JESUS then assembled these dead ones to HIMSELF+ and ascended on HIGH, taking and leading the formerly captive ones away from the earth completely, and giving gifts unto the children of Adam --- perhaps to those who had died --- and waited in sheol/hades for HIS+ appearing.  ( Ephesians 4:8 ) 

Our LORD+ then CAME OUT OF THE TOMB ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, TOTALLY ALIVE AND TOTALLY GLORIFIED!!  BODY, SOUL, AND SPIRIT!

HE+ IS THE LIGHT 

IN THIS DARK WORLD!

TIME-LINE FOR HOLY WEEK 

Tuesday evening and night 
and Wednesday, 

the day of crucifixion 
at the 3rd Hour of the Day, 

the time of the morning sacrifice 
in the Temple.

Passover meal , Garden of Gethsemane, Sweating Drops of BLOOD. Judas betrays JESUS with a kiss as the large crowd with clubs and swords from the High Priest sent them to take HIM+ by force.  

The Jewish Council, meeting at night,  condemned HIM+. The rough men spit in His+ face, slapped HIM+, and mocked HIM+. They blind-folded HIM+ and taunted HIM+ with insults.   Peter denied  HIM+ 3 times before the Cock crowed twice.

TIME-LINE : Wednesday 

In the early morning, the Chief Priests and Elders bound HIM+ and brought HIM+ to Pilate the Roman governor. Pilate gave the order to scourge JESUS and to have HIM+ crucified. 

HE+ was scourged. 

The Roman cohort stripped HIM+ and put a scarlet robe on HIM+, put a crown of thorns on His+ Head and put a reed in His+ hand and mocked HIM+ again, spitting on HIM+.  Then they led HIM+ out through the streets, carrying His+ Cross, to be crucified.

The first act The LORD JESUS did after His+ Triumphal entry into Jerusalem was to cleanse the Temple.

As a matter of fact, THAT is what HE+ went into Jerusalem TO DO ! 

HE+ drove out the BUYERS as well as the sellers of the livestock and doves and over-turned the tables of the money-changers. 

This was PASSOVER week, and they were going about business as usual. No fear of GOD there. How UN- holy ! 

Jerusalem was swollen with visitors coming for the Passover, to celebrate GOD'S great deliverance of the Hebrews from Pharaoh.  They were supposed to be mindful of GOD, not their pocketbooks. 

Once the un-scrupulous merchants were driven out of the Temple, the little ones, the blind, the lame , the crippled and infirm --- those who could afford nothing --- came to CHRIST JESUS.  HE+ healed them, it is written. 

This was just a few days after HE+ raised Lazarus from the dead !

Prophecies that would identify HIM+ as the true Messiah+ were being fulfilled before their eyes... and the crowd went wild.  All of Jerusalem was in turmoil. 

The heavy hand of the Rule of Rome would soon be lifted, they thought. How glorious !

Yes, the "Rule of Rome" would indeed be lifted... from their SOULS.  The people who walked in darkness had seen a GREAT Light, The LIGHT+ of the world. 

That LIGHT+ lifted the "Rule of Rome's"  values from their hearts; they would no longer be slaves to the worldly system that rules the hearts of men from their pocket-books. 

But, they would not. They willed not to be gathered as a hen clucks and gathers her chicks under her wings. 

They did not WANT freedom from sin, but rather, freedom from Roman rule.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem.... and JESUS wept.  HE+ could see ahead THEIR coming agony, THEIR thousands of citizens crucified on the hills and roads outside of Jerusalem. 

Yes, the earth-bound Roman rule was cruel and terrible. 

Sin's rule is WORSE. 

Roman rule only lasts 

for a life-time. 

Sins' consequences 

last for ALL Eternity.  

HE+ came to address them, first things first, and one at a time. First the Spiritual. Next will be the earth-bound rulers who pulverize His+ people. 

 Matthew 23: 37-38 

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, 

thou that killest the prophets, 

and stonest them 

 which are sent unto thee, 

how often 

would I+ have gathered 

thy children together, 

even as a hen

 gathereth her chickens 

under her wings, 

and ye would not!

 Behold, 

your house is left 

unto you 

desolate.

HEAR WHAT THE LORD SAYS: 

O WHOLE House of Israel, I+ have called to you to repent.  I+ have called to you to remove the leaven from your midst, and ye would not. 

What more can I+ do to save you from the sins that snare you ?  

Those very sins will ENTRAP you in the coming evil determined upon this earth. You will not be able to escape because you will not even SEE THE EVIL COMING until it is too late. 

No, I+ will not save America from judgement. I will not keep her from oppression SO THAT you can keep your wealthy life-styles, life-styles that are so far above other peoples of the earth. 

Do you "sit as a Queen and will be no widow?"  Think again.  I have NEVER SPARED my people who ignore my Words. 

I have NEVER SPARED my people who chase the world and call it "serving ME+." 

Those I+ love, I+ rebuke and chasten. 

Turn, turn from your worldly values. Separate from this world. Separate from this Camp of Korah... touch not the unclean money, the unclean flags, the unclean value system of Babylon the Great.

Serve ME+ in purity, with an UN-divided heart.  Then, and only then, shall you see the Salvation of your GOD ... when HE is truly your Master.

Divided loyalties will not be able to stand. You CAN NOT --- are not even ABLE --- to serve GOD   AND   Mammon . 

You will belong to Korah.

Time-Line

REMEMBER:  All events were intricately tied to the Jewish Passover Holy Days, as JESUS CHRIST was the UN-blemished Passover LAMB+, the LAMB+ of GOD.

1. Lazarus Saturday ~ The Raising of Lazarus of Bethany who had been dead 4 days, from the tomb.

2.The LORD'S Day ( i.e., Sunday ) ~ His+ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem ~ Following a great feast hosted by the family of Lazarus, a multitude from Bethany accompanied JESUS on His+ way in to Jerusalem. They were met by a multitude coming UP FROM Jerusalem, to greet the SON+ of DAVID.

3. Monday ~ The Second Cleansing of the Temple -- The merchants and money-changers were waxing profitably due to the influx of Passover Pilgrims coming into Jerusalem at this time.

Josephus estimated the in-coming crowd to be around 2.7 million VISITORS in Jerusalem during Passover time. The census was ordered by Rome, to be taken by the Temple priests, according to Josephus.

According to Matthew 21, though, the 2nd Cleansing of the Temple was after His+ Triumphant ride into Jerusalem ... not the day afterwards. The Church proper usually keeps the two events separated.  

4. Tuesday -- The Last Supper, the betrayal, and the drops of blood sweat in the Garden of Gesthemane, followed by the illegal night "trial" of The LORD.

5. Wednesday --- The Scourging, the parade of the Cross-carrying through Jerusalem to Golgotha, the dreadful crucifixion at the 3rd Hour (  9 a.m.), the time of the morning sacrifice in the Temple.

The darkened sky from noon, the 6^th Hour, until the 9th Hour ( 3 p.m.) when it was FINISHED and HE+ committed His+ spirit into the hands of The FATHER... at the time of the Evening Sacrifice in the Temple ... at which time the veil of the Temple was torn from TOP to the bottom.

Joseph of Arimathea laid His+ Body in the new Tomb.

First NIGHT in the heart of the earth.

6. Thursday --- High Holy Day. The HIGH Sabbath.

First DAY in the heart of the earth.

Second NIGHT in the heart of the earth.

7. Friday --- Day of Preparation for the regular Sabbath Day. The women went to buy spices to anoint His+ Body.

Second full DAY in the Heart of the earth.

Third full NIGHT in the Heart of the earth.

The "3 nights" in the heart of the earth were completed.

8. Saturday --- Regular Sabbath Day. The women rested.

The third full DAY in the heart of the earth

 was completed at 3 p.m. Saturday,

at the same hour

that HE+ died on the Cross

on Wednesday.

Having spent 3 full days and 3 full nights in the heart of the earth, as HE+ told us in Scriptures that HE+ would do,  from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 3 p.m. Saturday, His+ Resurrection had to occur at 3 p.m. Saturday.

However --- the FIRST WITNESSES, the women, did not SEE HIM+ until very early, before dawn, on The LORD'S day ( i.e., Sunday). That is when HE+ was revealed to them.

Having said all this, we remember that the Christian church services are commemorative, that is, we join together to REMEMBER these events.

Thus, we join with other Christians on Good Friday to commemorate His+ death and on Sunday to celebrate the REMEMBRANCE of His+ Glorious Resurrection.

Although there is no need to negate the truth of the timeline, there is also no need to cause more division in the Christian camp.
