O CHRISTIANS, Consider This Christmas “Activity” When Planning NEXT YEAR’S Christmas : Observing SEVEN of Those Merry, Traditional “Twelve Days of Christmas” by FASTING on Water!

Seven days of FASTING on water during Western Christianity’s  “Twelve Days of Christmas” were observed this year by a serious-minded Filipino pastor, Brother Rodelio Mallari,  and his translation team.

Furthermore, It is a bi-annual FAST, he said, for him and his team. So twice a year, this water-fast occurs. [ Seems very likely that this church does not need to hold special “revival” services since the HOLY SPIRIT is already at work among them during this dedicated, serious water- FAST. ]

This same church, with only 70 active members, takes the Call to Evangelize  very seriously.

On busy December 23rd, about 14 of them ( plus 18 Bible students whom this pastor mentors and teaches ) loaded up their old vehicles and made their way into a busy shopping district in a neighboring city.

They carried with them large, colorful signs and placards about JESUS, plus  microphones and speaker systems to preach and to share the Gospel of Salvation with the shopping crowd.  [ See Photo. ]

They passed out 3,000 Salvation tracts or so. The Greatest Story Ever Told, a Chick tract about the birth and death and resurrection of The LORD JESUS CHRIST went into the hands of a couple of thousands of Christmas shoppers.

[ Read it here: https://chick.com/products/tract?stk=293&ue=d

[ In their conscientious concern for souls, this church does a street evangelism out-reach about once a month. ]

FASTING on water instead of FEASTING for seven days during the high holidays of Christmastide marked the Spirit-filled end of their Christmas season.

What marked the end of OUR Christmas season this year ?

Fittingly, their days of FASTING ends on Eastern Christianity’s Christmas Day.

In the coming year, to whom do you suppose The LORD JESUS CHRIST will entrust with power from on High,

the FEAST-ERS  . . .   or the FAST-ERS ?

This conscientious pastor of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in the Philippines needs a church van (which won’t break down) to haul evangelism equipment, people, and church members.
