Year of Our LORD,
It is FASCINATING to watch a wise man work out.
He never… I repeat, NEVER… babies himself.
Now, are we here concerned with bodily exercise, as good and as necessary as it is? What does Scripture say?
But refuse profane and old wives’ fables,
and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
For bodily exercise profiteth little:
but godliness is profitable unto all things,
having promise of the life that now is,
and of that which is to come.
I Timothy 4:7,8
Thus, here is the point:
strenuous diligence and careful discipline is such that everyone can see and acclaim with rejoicing in the improved physical condition of this brother…
if this is considered of “little profit…”
HOW MUCH MORE
will it benefit us
IF WE WORK
AS DILIGENTLY AND STRENUOUSLY
FOR A DISCIPLINED WALK WITH The LORD ?
Be it known to you, dear friends,
that Our LORD loves discipline.
HE+ blesses it and His+ pleasure rests upon it.
Gifts HE+ gives:
the gift of Salvation, the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT, the gifts of healing. HE+ freely gives us these great Gifts. We can never earn them nor labor for them. HE+ gives us His+ love and mercy, freely also; none of us would be here except for those gifts. They are to HIS+ credit, not ours.
are developed when we do our part,
just as they do in a garden.
HE+ will not give us fruits.
Fruits require discipline.
knowing is NOT doing.
All glory to the FATHER and to the SON+
and to the Blessed HOLY SPIRIT,
now and forever
unto the eons of the eons,
