PALMS of VICTORY ! ~ John 12:12- 15 and Revelation 7:9-12

PALMS of VICTORY !

John 12:12-15

On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that JESUS was coming to Jerusalem,

took branches of PALM TREES,

and went forth to meet HIM+, and cried,

Hosanna !

Blessed is the KING+ of Israel that cometh

in the Name of The LORD .

Revelation 7:9-12

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the Throne, and before THE LAMB+, clothed with white robes, and PALMS in their hands;

And cried with a loud voice, saying,

Salvation to our GOD

Which sitteth upon the Throne,

and unto THE LAMB+.

And all the angels stood round about the Throne, and about the elders and the four Living Creatures, and fell before the Throne on their faces, and worshipped GOD, Saying, Amen:

Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our GOD for ever and ever. Amen.

There is GOOD reason why The Apostle John includes the detail that PALM BRANCHES were waved at The LORD’S Triumphal Entry into JERUSALEM.

There is GOOD reason why The Apostle John tells us the detail in the Apocalypse of John ( Revelation ) that PALM BRANCHES are going to be waved in Heaven , as well.

There is GOOD reason why PALM TREES and PALM LEAVES and PALM BRANCHES are:

·       figured in the Temple décor, 1st Kings 6:29, 32 , 2nd Chronicles 3:5, etc.

·       in Ezekiel’s description of the Millennial Temple, Ezekiel chapters 40 and 41

·       and used in the 7th Feast of Tabernacles / booths or “Succoth” in Hebrew . This feast is ALSO kept in the Millennial Kingdom, according to Zechariah 14:16

From Leviticus 23: 39 - 41

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your GOD seven days.

And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

What the  Palm Tree Signifies

The Greek word for “palm” tree [̀ φοίνικες / phoinikes ] can be spelled phoenix in English.

There was an ancient town in the Greek island of Crete which had a harbor called “Phenice” which [  Φοίνικα  ]  has the same root as palm , i.e., phoenix.

HOW Greek mythology picked up “phoenix” as a mythical bird that was regenerated from ashes and given new life MAY have come from Egypt  [ or perhaps, the Egyptians received it from Greek mythology. ]

But since BOTH were steeped in satanic worship and rituals led by the fallen angels, PERHAPS there is a GOOD CHANCE that they mimicked the Resurrection of the Coming SON+ of GOD in their attempt to usurp the human race.

At any rate, PALM branches and PALM trees are figured from the Old Testament through Revelation as something more than just a “local” tree .

PALM trees are recorded in detail in the Temple décor , thus they MUST have a special SPIRITUAL significance, for the Temple was made in the EXACT specifications given by The LORD .

And, EVERYTHING POINTED TO CHRIST.

What is the significance of the PALM branches ? According to the Revelation chapter 7 verses written above:

THE RESURRECTION of The SON+ of GOD,

Thus, the people were waving PALM branches as they shouted “HOSANNA in The Highest !” . . .  not realizing WHAT the Palm branches signified.

HE+ KNEW.
