#17 ~ BORN TO DELIVER US ~ ADVENT 2020

 

Why was HE+ born ? 

The LORD JESUS CHRIST was born to deliver us and  bring many sons to Glory ! 

#16 ~ Born to Make INTERCESSION for us ~ ADVENT MEDITATION 2020

 WHAT WAS HE+ SENT HERE TO DO ?

Wherefore HE+ is able also to save them to the uttermost

that come unto GOD by HIM+,

seeing HE+ ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:25

#15 ~ HE+ was BORN . . . to Be our ONLY MEDIATOR+ ~ ADVENT 2020

 1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one GOD, 

and ONE MEDIATOR+ 

between GOD and men, 

the man CHRIST JESUS;

 

A  mediator is a go-between, a counselor between two parties which are at enmity with each other.

ZACHARIAS and ELISABETH

Three persons received the HOLY SPIRIT just before The LORD came: 

• The babe, John, while still in Elisabeth’s womb, Luke 1:15, 
• his Mother, Elisabeth when Mary greeted her, Luke 1:41, 
• and Zacharias, when baby John was circumcised and named, Luke 1:67. 

They NEEDED the HOLY SPIRIT, for times were evil.

Commiphora Myrrha

Myrrh, the bitter herb, is from the same Hebrew root as "Mary" or "Maryam" or "Mariam" . The root of this Hebrew word , of course, means BITTER. 

#7 ~ Who Remembers King Jechoniah ( Coniah ) of Judah ? ~ ADVENT 2020

 

Remember King  Jechoniah of Judah ?  Most of us do not. Yet, The LORD remembered him . . . but not for good.

Jechoniah is listed in the genealogy records of the first chapter of Matthew, in verse 11.

#6 ~ The GENEALOGY DISCREPANCY : Are Matthew 1:16 and Luke 3:23 BOTH CORRECT ? YES . The Literal Greek Proves it !

  Upon reading the English translation,  two verses in two different Gsopels SEEM to make Joseph the son of TWO different men; hence, the lineage of The LORD JESUS CHRIST becomes muddled.

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
