ADVENT #2 -- Back to Our Heavenly FATHER

In The Beginning . . . John 1:1

In the beginning . . . of WHAT ? of the earth ? of the heavens ?  of man ?  of time ?
Our minds can hardly conceive of a world without “time”.

 From the sun rising and setting, to birth and the grave. Daytime and night, weeks, months, and seasons. Years as well. We humans are locked into a “time” mindset.

We can hardly conceive of the earth NOT being here, that it was made out of nothing, “no-thing” as we know it.

 And the heavens and outer space  . . . what were THEY created from ? The air ?? 

Genesis 1:1 tells us:

In the beginning, GOD created 

 everything that we know about.

Well then, WHO is GOD ?

The Hebrew tells us:

THE ELOHIM, 

the Divine ECHAD,

 the Plural yet United ONE.

The ELOHIM, grammatically, is a “collective noun” functioning as a single UNIT, a collective subject used with a singular verb .

 In this case, One Will, One Purpose, One Mind, and One  Essence. . .  ALL DIVINE, through and through.

THE ELOHIM: 

The FATHER, 

The SON+, 

and The HOLY SPIRIT.

THE ELOHIM, Scripture tells us, existed before the earth, before the Heavens, before man, and existed before TIME, for HE ( that collective “HE” ) created time as we know it in the innate rhythms of our natural life-cycle.

Furthermore, that Collective “HE”, THE ELOHIM,  creating the seasons of TIME as well as the heavens and the earth and everything as we know it to be, pronounced it all GOOD.

Let us Pray:

O HOLY, Heavenly FATHER, we come before THEE in the name of Thy Beloved SON+ JESUS CHRIST, through the power of Thy HOLY SPIRIT.

O THOU Who doeth all things well, we thank THEE for  originally creating  man GOOD in Thy sight.

LORD CHRIST, we give THEE+ thanks for Coming at the Time Appointed by The FATHER  to bring us back to our Heavenly FATHER,  back to a Newness of Life as HE and THEE+ and Thy HOLY SPIRIT --- THE ELOHIM --- created us originally to have.

Back to being “At One” [ the origins of Atone* ] with The LORD YHWH, giving us The WAY – through THEE+ -- to be in communion with THE ELOHIM.

Glory be to The FATHER, Who created us;

to HIS Beloved Only-Begotten, ETERNAL SON+, Who+ saves us;

and the Blessed HOLY SPIRIT, 

Who sanctifies us.

* See ATONE and ATONEMENT in the Oxford English Dictionary, the highest authority on the origin of English words.  ATONEMENT did indeed originate as “at-one-ment” with GOD, contrary to Mr. Vine’s Expository Dictionary statement.

Being "at one" with GOD comes only through the sacrifice of HIS SON+ JESUS CHRIST.
