DID the FATHER FORSAKE HIS OBEDIENT SON+ ?

ELOI ! ELOI ! Lama sabachthani ?
MY+ GOD, MY+ GOD,
why hast THOU forsaken ME+?
And at the ninth hour JESUS cried with a loud voice, saying, ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI? which is, being interpreted, MY GOD, MY GOD, why hast THOU forsaken ME+? Mark 15:34
SO IT SEEMED ! But it only "seemed" so.
It would seem so to most of us as well, if we were a-dying and our flesh was NOT being rescued.
We would feel abandoned, alone. We would feel like our walk with GOD was not pleasing ENOUGH for The LORD to heal us or to remove us from the circumstances bringing our death.
We too would wonder:
Why has not the GOD Whom we have served been pleased to deliver us ?
Why has HE abandoned us when we need HIM most ?
Why are we dying ?
We KNOW that HE has the power to heal, to deliver.
BUT that was NOT HIS DIVINE WILL.
Then we have an awful choice facing us:
To remain steadfast for GOD through our death --- or --- to turn away from HIM because HE did not deliver us as promised.
The LORD JESUS told us plainly:
And HE that sent ME+ is with ME+: The FATHER hath not left ME+ alone; for I+ do always those things that please HIM. John 8:29
Did The LORD JESUS obey His+ Heavenly FATHER when HE+ agreed to do The FATHER’S Divine WILL ?
YES.
Then it was IMPOSSIBLE for The FATHER to abandon His+ Beloved, OBEDIENT SON+ !
For in going to the Cross for our sins, The LORD JESUS accomplished that OBEDIENCE . . . which pleased His+ Heavenly FATHER.
Who+ needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this HE+ did once, when HE+ offered up HIMSELF+.
How much more shall the BLOOD OF CHRIST, Who+ through the ETERNAL SPIRIT offered HIMSELF+ without spot to GOD, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the LIVING GOD?
For then must HE+ often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath HE+ appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of HIMSELF+.
But this MAN+, after HE+ had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the Right Hand of GOD;
We know The VICTORIOUS END of His+ Crucifixion.
The LORD JESUS conquered Death the moment HE+ said, “ It is finished. . . FATHER, into Thy Hands I+ commend My+ spirit .” John 19:30 & Luke 23:46
The FATHER did NOT abandon HIS Beloved, OBEDIENT SON+ at the moment of His+ darkest struggle.
The FATHER and The SON+ will never abandon us either . . . if we remain in the TRUE VINE+, regardless of what comes our way.
THANKS BE TO GOD Who giveth us the VICTORY through our LORD JESUS CHRIST !
