Christians,
do NOT REJECT
the Judgment Seat of CHRIST.
That
is: do not push it to the side, ignore its certainty, pretend
it won’t happen “to u-u-sss” , or refuse to consider the grave and serious
accountability when standing before The Judgment Seat of CHRIST JESUS our LORD.
The
RISEN CHRIST is Coming Again, and as we all know, will be revealed from Heaven
as The JUDGE+ of the Whole Earth, Genesis 18:25 . . . and HE+ most certainly WILL “do right”, to the surprise of many.
For The FATHER judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto The SON + :~ Words of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, John 5:22
For,
when His+ Feet touch down, the Discussion is OVER. Done.
Finished for all time. HE+ said from the Cross, “It is FINISHED,
FATHER . . .” Furthermore, HE+ meant it in more ways than one.
Warnings of His+ Coming Judgment
are throughout Scripture.
Much
discussion arises over WHEN the Judgment Seat of CHRIST occurs. But there is
one thing certain: It WILL OCCUR and there is NO escaping it.
The Day
of Judgment is set and the Books WILL
most certainly be opened. [ Daniel 7:10 and Revelation 20: 12-15 ].
In
Addition to WHEN, much discussion arises over WHO will be Judged at the
Judgment Seat of CHRIST, as well.
According
to Scriptures and the very words of CHRIST JESUS, Christians certainly will be judged at His+
Judgment Seat.
Unfortunately,
the modern Christian church in its haste to obtain members, has conveniently
“forgotten” to present the unadulterated Gospel of Salvation.
In its
LOVE Message --- which part is certainly true --- the Church proper has neglected to proclaim
the REST of that Gospel message of what we are being saved FROM,
which is:
The Severe and Final Judgment of GOD
awaiting all those who reject The SON+ of GOD
and His+ Word, as Scripture clearly tells us.
So, let
us look closely at Scripture now to obtain the TOTAL picture of the Salvation
message of CHRIST’S true love. Perhaps this will balance our potentially warped
“Love” message that we have inadvertently issued to others as we have shared
the Gospel of Salvation in our compassion and zeal.
To
start, let us hear the Word spoken by John the Baptist in John 3:36, in the
literal Greek:
ο πιστεύων εις τὸν Υιὸν eχει ζωὴν αιώνιον· ο δὲ απειθων τω Υιω ουκ oψεται ζωήν, αλλ η οργὴ του Θεου μένει επ αυτόν.
The one believing* into The SON+ has Life Ever-lasting. But, the one NOT obeying** the SON+ not shall see Life, but rather the WRATH of GOD remains upon him.
[ See the discussion at the end of the post
regarding the two different Greek verbs used in this verse, but both being
translated as “believeth”.]
.
This
reading is important because the RISEN CHRIST winnows His+ individual
Followers. It is the one either
believing or the one not
obeying The SON+ that is in focus.
Which
means that we are not “safe” in church
membership. . . if our walk with CHRIST stops there. We are not safe if we
disobey The SON+ of GOD in
our hearts, our thoughts, our mind even if we are outwardly dutiful to the
Church.
We must
always keep in mind that the Temple was built upon the Threshing floor of Ornan
~ and one will be re-built BY THE LORD upon that same principle. 1
Chronicles 21:18 and 2 Chronicles 3:1.
HE+ always refines His+ people. If we refuse His+ refining,we stand in great jeopardy.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but HE+
that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
HE+ shall baptize you with the HOLY
SPIRIT , and with fire:
12
Whose+
fan is in His+ Hand, and HE+ will throughly purge His+ floor, and gather
His+ wheat into the garner; but HE+ will burn up the chaff with unquenchable
fire.
Matthew 3:11-12

LET US PRAY
O LORD
JESUS CHRIST, have mercy upon me, for I am dismayed.
I
have not taken Your+ Word as seriously as I ought, concerning how I will stand
at Your+ Judgment Seat.
I
have slid by the seriousness of Your+ Judgment by resting upon my being “under
The BLOOD+”.
I have not laid to heart that I myself am really going to have to stand before that Judgment seat and there will be no “church” to stand there with me; I will be on my own, to give an account for the things done in my body, with my body, and for or against my body.
Because
I have not taken Your+ Word about Judgment seriously, I have not issued the
FULL Gospel message to those I love, to those to whom YOU+ called me to bear
witness.
At best,
I gave them the LOVE message from YOU+, but I did not share that the Day of
Judgment is coming , before the Judgment Seat of CHRIST for all believers in
CHRIST and for the unbelievers at the Great White Throne Judgment before GOD.
Help
me, LORD. I see my negligence. I see my
incomplete Gospel out-reach because I myself have not applied this truth to myself.
.
.
Forgive
me , LORD. Change me to offer the WHOLE Gospel of CHRIST that some may be saved
even by fear, if necessary.
Create
in my own heart a healthy and right fear of GOD, O LORD.
This
I ask in the Life-Giving Name of YOUR HOLY SON+ JESUS CHRIST. Amen.

John
3:36 in the Greek text
The main
problem is the KJV translation uses “ believeth” TWICE in this verse even
though the two words are NOT the same word in the Greek text.
“Believe”
is pisteuO; UNBELIEVING is simply made with a negative
particle a- added in front of the
verb. Thus, “believeth not” ( the opposite of believe) should read apisteuO in the Greek text.
However,
apisteuO
is not in the Greek text in this verse.
[ apisteO or its forms are indeed used 42 times
meaning unbelieve, etc. Strong’s numbers #569, #570, #571. Wigram’s
Englishman’s Greek Concordance, pgs. 62-63.]
Instead,
the second Greek word used for “believe” is a totally different word, that is, apithOn .
*believing
( pisteuOn) = verb present participle = continuous, on-going action
** not obeying ( apithOn) = verb
present participle, continuous, on-going action. The negative indicated by the
particle a- .
It
means One who will not be persuaded to obey; Not allow oneself to be
persuaded; not to comply with. See Thayer’s pg 55 for a complete
definition. Strong’s #544.
This
word is used 16 times in its various forms in the New Testament.
.
.
It is
translated 7 times as DISOBEY (or its forms) in : Romans 2:8, 10:21 ; 1 Peter
2:7-8, 3:1 and 20, and 4:17.
Because
of its difference in regards to pisteuO, believe, it should have been translated disobeys
in John 3:36 as well.
The
adjective form is used 5 times and in every instance is translated as
DISOBEDIENT.
Of
special concern is the contrast between believe and stubbornly disobeying,
which is apparent in the Greek text but that difference has been oftentimes
over-looked and mis-translated.
The
individual is in focus in the LORD’S eyes in this verse. In John 3:36, the Greek “the”, the definite
article [ o ]
is used with both the one believing and the
one disobeying.
An
erroneous translation of this verse is easily mis-construed into being a mere
mental assent that JESUS is the CHRIST , separated from the necessity of obeying
The LORD JESUS because HE+ is the CHRIST, the SON+ of GOD.
In Contrast, James 2:19’s use of pisteuO ~ believe ~ indicates that mere mentally “believing” or affirming the FACT that there is one GOD, but no obedience accompanying that truth, is what is done by the demons.
Apparently,
this is the same issue ~ i.e., no obedience accompanying their mental belief ~
that James is having with the Brethren.
Thou believest ( pisteuO ) that there is one GOD: thou doest well: the devils also believe ( pisteuO ) , and tremble. James 2:19

Thank you for this instruction, what bible translation(s) would you recommend? Dora
Hello, Dora,
Thank you for writing.
We use the Bibles based on the Byzantine Greek text or manuscripts, not the Alexandrian manuscripts.
The Modern bibles are ALL based on the Alexandrian manuscripts, which contain many omissions and other errors which are easily refuted.
Jay P. Green Sr has solid interlinear Greek and Hebrew Bibles.
Charles Van der Pool's APOSTOLIC BIBLE , Polyglot has a literal translation of the New Testament, but for the Old Testament he uses the LXX, Septuagint, which is actually the Vaticanus manuscript; the orginal Septuagint seems to have disappeared.
It was DIFFERENT from the Vaticanus, we think, based on quotes found in the New Testament.
Dr. Wilbur Pickering has a Byzantine-based translation of the New Testament that is very readable and with good footnotes. He is a former Wycliffe translator in Brazil .
But, most people are not aware of these Bibles, so we return to the KJV and , for young Christians perhaps, the NKJV.
We know where the Calvinist errors are in the KJV translation, so we can avoid those words that are mis-translated ( like in John 3:36 . . . the second "believe (not) " SHOULD have been translated "obey ( not )".
It is good , for serious Bible study, to return to the Greek and Hebrew languages. The Interlinears are great places to start if they use the Byzantine Manuscripts.
I hope this helps.
May The LORD bless your search.
