#16 ~ Born to Make INTERCESSION for us ~ ADVENT MEDITATION 2020

 WHAT WAS HE+ SENT HERE TO DO ?

Wherefore HE+ is able also to save them to the uttermost

that come unto GOD by HIM+,

seeing HE+ ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 7:25

 

The LORD JESUS, known as the “Second Economy” [ of the ELOHIM or TRINITY ]  in the Pre-Nicene writings, became Incarnate in order to protect us.

This great protection which HE+ offers to mankind did NOT come simply when The LORD JESUS walked in the flesh upon earth, but rather,  after HE+ sat down on the Right Hand of GOD the FATHER.

FIRST, however, The LORD JESUS had to come as the SECOND ADAM+ . . . so that HE+ could die for us, as  death is common to all flesh. 

After the crucifixion of The LORD JESUS CHRIST  came His+ Victory over the satan and His+ great RESURRECTION ; the gates of hell could not hold HIM+. 

Death hath NO MORE DOMINION

over The LORD JESUS CHRIST !

Thus , HE+ is able to protect all who come to GOD the FATHER through  HIM+.

But now, from what or from whom does HE+ protect us ?

HE+ protects us from the wrath of satan who has been cast down to earth in great wrath, ready to make war with mankind.

Revelation 12:12

Therefore rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

YES, but consider:  GOD has great wrath too. It will be poured out upon all sinners, all rejecters of HIS SON+ JESUS,  at the appointed time.

HOWEVER . . . GOD does NOT have wrath – but love --- for all those who have come to HIM through HIS Beloved SON+. 

HE sees HIS SON+ in all who have repented and are “covered” by the BLOOD of the LAMB+ of GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

 

1 Thessalonians 1:10

And to wait for HIS SON+ from Heaven, whom HE raised from the dead, even JESUS, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

 

1 Thessalonians 5:9 -10

For GOD hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who+ died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with HIM+.

Therefore, we can firmly stand on the TRUTH that The LORD JESUS does NOT intercede  against the WRATH of GOD which comes towards us .

WHY NOT ?

BECAUSE . . .

There is NO wrath of GOD coming towards

the FOLLOWERS of JESUS

who strive to live above sin.

 

BECAUSE JESUS HIMSELF+  SAID . . . 

 

Verily, verily, I+ say unto you, He that heareth My+ Word, and

believeth on HIM that sent ME+, hath everlasting life,

and shall not come into condemnation;

but is passed from death unto life.

John 5:24

There is therefore now no condemnation to them 

which are in CHRIST JESUS,

who walk not after the flesh,

but after the SPIRIT.

Romans 8:1

 

 

LET US PRAY:

Thank you, O FATHER, for sending us Your SON+, Your BELOVED SON+ JESUS CHRIST, that we might be saved from the wrath to come, GOD’S wrath upon all unrepentant sinners.

We know the satan has placed himself as our deadly enemy. 

We know the satan is angry with us for bowing our knee to JESUS as LORD.  We escaped his deadly grip.

We know the satan is angry with us when we fight against his dark kingdom, in the Name of JESUS.

FURTHERMORE . . . we know The LORD JESUS has protected us in many ways and at many times --- even unbeknownst to us --- from the deadly thrusts of the satan.

Sometimes we have seen His+ protection , but sometimes it has been revealed to us later. Some of His+  protection we will not know until we enter, rejoicing, into Heaven.

Thank YOU, O GOD, for loving the human race --- loving me ! --- SO MUCH that YOU provided a way for us to escape the wrath to come which will be visited severely upon all unrighteousness.

Glory to YOU, O ELOHIM: FATHER, SON+, and HOLY SPIRIT !

GLORY to the “collective” , unchanging, HOLY YOU !

This we pray in the LIFE-GIVING and LIFE-PROTECTING Name of our Risen and Victorious SAVIOR+, The LORD JESUS CHRIST.  Amen.
