Who+ is the image of the invisible GOD,
THE FIRSTBORN of every creature:
[ literal Greek: begotten before all of creation ] *

EXACTLY Who is this FIRSTBORN Son of the Hebrew virgin Mariam ?
This lowly-born Royal BABE+ was the IMAGE ~ the exact reflection as in a mirror ~ of the GOD Who was not able to be gazed upon !
John 1:18 ~ John the Baptist told us:
18 No man hath seen GOD at any time, the Only- Begotten SON+, Who+ is in the Bosom of The FATHER, HE+ hath declared HIM.
John 5:37 ~ The LORD JESUS CHRIST told us:
37 And The FATHER HIMSELF, Which hath sent ME+, hath borne witness of ME+. Ye have neither heard HIS Voice at any time, nor seen HIS Shape.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST was the Exact Reflection of our Heavenly FATHER, as HE+ told Philip.
HE+ also was the “FIRSTBORN of every creature”, according to the KJV.
But, that word and phrase in the KJV would be more literally translated as ( See the Greek notes at the end of the article ) :
“Begotten BEFORE all of creation.”
Otherwise, the KJV could have us believing that the “FIRSTBORN of every creature”, could possibly be read as the LORD JESUS was born as a creature Himself+ ! Or read as: the prototype of every animal on earth !
We are created; our children are pro-created. The LORD JESUS was BEGOTTEN of The FATHER. There is a tremendous difference because The LORD JESUS was the ONLY-BEGOTTEN of our Heavenly FATHER !

Let us pray:
O Holy, Heavenly FATHER, I thank YOU for Your tremendous love towards mankind, for creating us and for setting in motion the pro-creation of the human race.
And I THANK YOU for sending to us Your ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON+ JESUS CHRIST, Who+ never left Your Holy Bosom even when HE+ became incarnate. HE+ stayed WITH YOU, connected to YOU at all times.
Help me, O LORD, to stay connected to YOU, living in Your SON+ JESUS CHRIST, as YOU had predestinated from the beginning:
I+ in them, and THOU in ME+, that they may be made perfect in ONE ;and that the world may know that THOU hast sent ME+, and hast loved them, as THOU hast loved ME+. ( John 17:23 )
ONE with THEE, ONE with the HOLY SAVIOR+ . . that is my goal.
This I pray in the Life-Giving NAME of our RISEN SAVIOR+ JESUS CHRIST, over WHOM+ death has no more dominion ! Amen.

Now, note this: We at the Order of the GOOD SHEPHERD+ do prefer the KJV because it is the most widely-known Bible which is BASED on the Byzantine Manuscripts.
We DO NOT “ adulate” the KJV. We DO NOT “worship” the KJV.
Yes, there ARE some words, phrases, and passages in it that actually COULD be better translated to reflect those very Byzantine Greek manuscripts that are proven to be most accurate manuscripts. . . as in the case of Colossians 1:15, as stated above.
Of Course, there are OTHER, more modern New Testament translations based on the Byzantine Greek manuscripts that are solid reflections of the Word of GOD also.
The problem is: most people would not recognize their names. Hence, we are left with the KJV for group gatherings and public worship.
Only people who have wrestled with the translations and the manuscripts, both Byzantine and Alexandrian, would generally be familiar with the New Testament translations of :
Dr. Wilbur Pickering’s [ The Sovereign Creator Has Spoken ]
or Jay P. Green,Sr.’s [ Interlinear Greek-English New Testament ]. He also does a Hebrew-English Interlinear.
or Charles Van der Pool’s [ The Apostolic Bible Polyglot ]. He also does the Greek Old Testament called the “Septuagint” , which is really the Vaticanus- Codex B, an Alexandrian ( ? ) manuscript. His New Testament, however , strictly follows the Byzantine manuscripts.
NOTE THIS WELL: All so-called “Septuagint” Greek Old Testaments that are available to us today are the VATICANUS- CODEX B manuscript; we do not possess the authentic Septuagint or LXX , if there ever was one.+ + +

ὅς ἐστιν εἰκὼν τοῦ Θεοῦ τοῦ ἀοράτου, πρωτότοκος πάσης κτίσεως,
πρωτότοκος = proto = first, as in time = BEFORE / tokos = begotten
πρωτότοκος = Pronominal ADJ – Nominative – Masculine – Singular
( A pronominal adjective is used as a pronoun. )
This grammar analysis means that FIRST-BEGOTTEN is attached to the subject of this clause which is WHO+ [ὅς ] .
ὅς is a relative pronoun, nominative , masculine , singular.
NOTICE: Before-Begotten or FIRST-BEGOTTEN is NOT in the genitive case.
The KJV phrasing makes THE LORD JESUS appear as a creature Himself+ , being “of” every creature !
πάσης = ( pasAs ) = Adj, Genitive, Singular, Feminine = ALL or every
κτίσεως = ( ktisehOs ) = Noun, Genitive, Singular, Feminine = creation.
ALL OF CREATION.
There is NO “the” , no definite article, in this phrase, in the Greek.
