It is TIME to Return to The UPPER ROOM

  

And, behold, I+ send the Promise of My+ FATHER upon you:

but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued 

with Power from on High.

The JOYOUS Day of Pentecost is upon us once again, come Sunday.

Have we been endued with Power from on High yet ?

Do we need a Second Anointing ?

HAVE WE HAD THE FIRST ?

People who have experienced the Day of Pentecost with the Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT act differently  from other Christians.

For one thing, they TALK differently . If you stay around them long enough, you will hear them talk about The LORD JESUS as though HE+ were a personal FRIEND+.

Most conversations with them will find them sharing what The LORD is doing in their lives, in some way. Yet, even with their mouths shut, they manage to give witness to CHRIST because His+ HOLY SPIRIT sits upon them.

They think differently as well. For, HE+ is on their minds constantly through the day. (That is why they speak about HIM+ so much.) 

Natural-minded conversation will find them absenting themselves from it.  They start drifting away, even though their body may be present .

What causes this ? For one thing, The HOLY SPIRIT brings the HOLY SCRIPTURES  to their minds and oftentimes on their tongues as well. They LOVE the Scriptures and derive much life from them.

The HOLY SPIRIT pulsates through the SCRIPTURES to confirm, convict, counsel, and comfort them, they stoutly affirm. To them, the SCRIPTURES scintillate with LIFE; they are LIVING WORDS, not just ink on paper.

That is why they see SCRIPTURES as far above, far more important than any words of poetry or clever statements of men, even God-fearing men.

To them, SCRIPTURES rightly divided, are a treasure for their heart, a treasure that maintains TOP AUTHORITY in Life. And that AUTHORITY is uncontested.

So, they treasure every word written in SCRIPTURES, especially the WORDS of CHRIST JESUS. They cannot stand to see the HOLY WORD of GOD truncated or mis-handled or replaced by thoughts of men.  

They also lay to heart every word in the HOLY SCRIPTURES, that each one is inspired of GOD --- in-breathed, if you will, --- with the HOLY SPIRIT.  They cast nothing aside of what was spoken and promised to those who Follow CHRIST.

These “peculiar” people may or may not speak in tongues, but MANY do. Those anointed with this gift of tongues KNOW it is not babbling but is a gift of the HOLY SPIRIT in a language spoken somewhere upon earth . . . and perhaps in Heaven.

It is a joyous thing to them because THEY KNOW they are not “doing it” themselves. They can actually feel the power of the HOLY SPIRIT upon them as they pray in tongues, leading them, guiding them in prayer.

Also, they spend time in prayer because JESUS is ever on their minds. Even as they walk and drive and do their daily duties, they commune with The LORD.  

Their first response to any difficulty is to call out to The LORD JESUS for help, direction, and understanding. Even in mundane chores like cooking and baking . . . and the HOLY SPIRIT helps them and shows them what to do to make it right.

  

They are the FIRST of the “First Responders”.

Their first response to every blessing is to praise and thank The LORD for it. Their hearts are constantly amazed at HIS+ goodness to them, at His+ Provision for their needs of heart and body, at His+ deliverance of them from danger and untoward situations, many which are hidden from view until later.

Speaking of seeing, they have different vision too.  They see blessings in the hardest of situations, situations that would embitter most people.

Furthermore, in their unusual powers of vision, they see The Hand of The LORD at work when times are tough, calling all, wrestling with the hearts of men, to return to their MAKER and REDEEMER+ .

Do they cry ? Oh, yes. They cry when hurt. They cry when others hurt. They cry when they hurt others. And . . . they cry when they hurt The LORD.

Their greatest grief is to let The LORD down, to serve Self when they are supposed to be bearing witness to HIM+. The greatest danger is for them to become embittered against themselves for denying their SAVIOR+ before men, either in word or deed.

In short, they live with the conviction of the HOLY SPIRIT ever present. GOD is a consuming fire, you know, and these persons LIVE it; they know it when they sin. 

They know it when they serve Self. They know it when they miss-step, even in their thoughts.

And it GRIEVES them to the core.

They spend time repenting, for some, every day. The HOLY SPIRIT is ever-present in their lives, bringing HIS anointing of joy and power. . . and conviction for correction whenever needed. 

HE is a great discipliner and one who cannot be tricked for HE knows the hearts of men.  

HE sees our motives and withholds His unction until we stop, turn, and repent for the direction in which our thoughts and emotions are moving.  HE keeps us on the straight and narrow path of LIFE and safety in our FATHER’S WILL.

 Let us return, then, to the UPPER ROOM, in purposeful quietness, beseeching The LORD to send His+ Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT once again, in power, just like the First Followers of JESUS had. 

Yes, let us seek HIM In spirit and in truth, for The FATHER seeketh such to worship HIM.

HE+ will hear our cry during this season of the Pentecost.
