LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ A MAN+ of Sorrows, ~ Isaiah 53:3b

 

HE+ is despised and rejected of men;

a MAN+ of Sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from HIM+;

HE+ was despised,

and we esteemed HIM+ not.

A MAN+ of Sorrows . . . .

What a name ! What a reputation ! What a Calling !

Why is The LORD JESUS CHRIST, the MESSIAH+ of Israel, the SAVIOR+ of the world, known as “ A Man+ of Sorrows “  ?

Was His+ Sacrifice of His+ Life causing HIM+ to sorrow over-abundantly ?

But I+ have a baptism to be baptized with;

and how am I+ straitened

till it be accomplished!

The MAN+ of Sorrows was NOT sorrowing for HIMSELF+. 

HE+ was sorrowing for the release of man from the death-grip of the satan.

HE+ was sorrowing for the ones who WOULD NOT TAKE the Salvation offered even though HE+ would give His+ Life to set them free.

HE+ was sorrowing for the death of the wicked … the eternal, perpetual death of those who rejected the Jewish MESSIAH+, the SAVIOR+ of the world, The LORD JESUS CHRIST.

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth,

saith the Lord GOD:

wherefore turn yourselves,

and live ye.

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD,

I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked;

but that the wicked turn from his way and live:

turn ye,

turn ye from your evil ways;

for why will ye die,

O house of Israel?
