Holy Saturday ~~~ Day of the Wielka Noc

The GREAT NIGHT= WIELKA NOC

 

The Polish call it the "Vi-el - kah Notes"... the Great Night which heralded in the Greatest Deed Done on Earth for Fallen Man... the Resurrection of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST... the unblemished LAMB+ of GOD.

Some honor this time with a Great Night Vigil. 

 

Some read through the Gospel accounts of His+ Crucifixion. 

 

Some stay in prayer through the night and fast, awaiting the Dayspring from on High.

Some do nothing... think nothing... feel nothing... about it.  Lord have mercy.

HE+ has done His+ part.  Whosoever will may come and partake of His+ Life... if one comes His+ way, as HE+ said.

 

The tremendous gift of Eternal Life was obtained at Great Sacrifice for us miserable human beings. Let us love HIM+ Who obtained Life for us with all of our hearts, our minds, and our souls.

LORD JESUS CHRIST, we praise You for what You have done for us. To You be all honor and glory, Who, with Your HOLY FATHER, and His Most Blessed Holy Spirit, live and reign , ONE GOD, for ever and ever, to the endless Eternal Ages, Amen.

 NOTE: 

Wielka Noc means literally "Great Night."  That is because  The LORD JESUS was risen at precisely the time of the Evening Sacrifice --- 3 p.m., the Ninth hour --- exactly 3 nights and 3 days after HE+ died on the Cross. 

If HE+ rose at the time of the Sabbath evening sacrifice, then HE+ did NOT spend Saturday night in HELL.

HE+ was FIRST SEEN, however, just before dawn on Sunday morning. 

  

So let's count backwards.  

First the days:

SATURday day + FRIday day + THURSday day 

= THREE FULL DAYS in the heart of the earth.

 

 Secondly the nights:

FRIday NIGHT + THURSday NIGHT + WEDNESday NIGHT

= THREE FULL NIGHTS in the heart of the earth. 

 

That brings us to a WEDNESDAY morning Crucifixion, at 9 a.m., the 3rd hour of the Jewish day.  JESUS hung on the Cross until the 9th hour of the Jewish day, our 3 p.m.

 

The wicked, illegal trial was held late Tuesday night and very early Wednesday morning.  JESUS was arrested after His+ agonizing prayer where HE+ shed drops of Blood as sweat in the Garden of Gethsemane after praying all through the night. 

 

The LORD'S Last Passover was shared on Tuesday evening , before HE+ retired to the Garden of Gethsemane.

If we AGREE with SCRIPTURE, we can see the 3 days and 3 nights that The LORD said HE+ would be in the heart of the earth  ! 

Keeping the FACTS in mind, we do join with our fellow Christians on GOOD FRIDAY services in order to honor our LORD'S Crucifixion and death, no matter the day of the week it occurred.
