eavenly FATHER, we come before YOU at this 3rd hour of the ancient day, the hour of the Morning Sacrifice in the Temple . . . that same hour that Your Beloved SON+, the LAMB+ of GOD that taketh away the sin of the world, was offered up on the Cross for our sakes.

e thank YOU for the Great Drops of BLOOD HE+ shed in the garden of Gethsemane, after praying all through the night . . . then facing the men who had come with swords and clubs to violently take HIM+.

LUKE 22
40 And when HE+ was at the place, HE+ said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And HE+ was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying,
FATHER, if THOU be willing,
remove this cup from ME+:
nevertheless not My+ Will, but THINE, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto HIM+ from Heaven, strengthening HIM+.
44And being in an agony HE+ prayed more earnestly: and His+ sweat was as it were Great Drops of Blood falling down to the ground.
HOW was our LORD, fully human as well as fully Divine, able to submit His+ Life to the Cross ?
Knowing full well the excruciating, un-ending pain HE+ would endure through a long, slow crucifixion death, HOW could HE+ make Himself+ do it ?
HE+ prayed through the night. Earnestly, sincerely, with such intensity that HE+ sweat great drops of Blood . . . His+ Life’s blood . . . our Life’s BLOOD.
Let us learn to pray as JESUS our LORD prayed. Earnestly, sincerely, and with GREAT intensity. Then we too will be able to face whatsoever HE+ chooses for our life.
We follow CHRIST JESUS to do HIS+ Will, not ours.
