What is WRONG
with those churches who refuse to do ASH WEDNESDAY Services . . . simply because civil authorities SUGGEST that Christians NOT do an ASH WEDNESDAY service because of the COVID risk ?
How could putting ASHES on the forehead of the faithful POSSIBLY spread COVID and its unknown terrorizing ( supposedly ) counterparts that might be lurking about?
Only the priest or minister APPLYING the CROSS of ASHES could be at risk . . . and that, only if he KISSES the forehead of the person ! How often is THAT done ?
NEVER.
ASH WEDNESDAY, although not in the New Testament, is a fitting Service to start a season of repentance and fasting --- which IS in the New Testament --- a season of humbling ones’ self to The LORD.
When we do this together, in one accord, there is much spiritual power poured into The Body of CHRIST.
Perhaps the anti-Christ does not want this to happen.
In this IMPORTANT Season, we clean out the leaven of worldliness --- its objects, its values, its goals --- and consecrate ourselves more wholly unto The LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Perhaps the anti-Christ does not want this to happen either.
How CONVENIENT to shut down one of the most POWERFUL days of the church, more powerful in reality than the glitzy Christmas pomp !
O, FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST JESUS, do not forsake
CHRIST'S Witness.
RATHER . . . Forsake a church which will not stand for Truth.
The anti-Christ will not have much of a fight to overtake this modern church age; it is in his pocket already.
But whosoever shall deny ME+ before men,
him will I+ also deny
before My+ FATHER
WHO is in Heaven.
