The GREATEST 3 Days and 3 Nights... The SIGN of JONAH

Crucifixion occurred on a "Wednesday" at 9 a.m., at the time of the morning sacrifice in the Temple; the sky was darkened at noon; the battle was finished at 3 p.m. exactly. There were 2 Sabbaths that week: the Passover which fell mid-week and the regular Saturday Sabbath.

Thus, at 3 p.m. Wednesday began the first NIGHT in the heart of the earth:
First DAY in the heart of the earth: "Thursday" day.

Second NIGHT in the heart of the earth: "Thursday" night.
Second DAY in the heart of the earth: "Friday" day.

Third NIGHT in the heart of the earth: "Friday" night.
Third DAY in the heart of the earth: "Saturday" day.

Resurrection: at 3 p.m. exactly, Saturday... Precise to the minute, as GOD always is. A minute BEFORE 3 p.m. Saturday would have placed His+ Resurrection timing as LESS than "3 days and 3 nights" in the heart of the earth. A minute AFTER 3 p.m., the hour of the evening sacrifice in the Temple, would have placed His+ Resurrection MORE than the precise "3 days and 3 nights" in the heart of the earth. GOD is always precise.

The Sisters did not see HIM+ , however, until early, early Sunday morning , before dawn. They did not see HIM+ at the precise moment of His+ Resurrection; HE+ was already risen, according to the Angels' words. The stone had already been rolled away when they arrived at the tomb.

+  +  +
Because for Thy sake I+ have borne reproach; shame hath covered My+ face. I+ am become a stranger unto My+ brethren, and an alien unto My+ mother's children. For the zeal of Thine house hath eaten  ME+ up; and the reproaches of them that reproached THEE are fallen upon ME+.  Psalm 69:7-9

Psalm 69:20-21

Reproach hath broken My+ heart; and I+ am full of heaviness: and I+ looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I+ found none. They gave ME+ also gall for My+ meat; and in My+ thirst they gave ME vinegar to drink.

His+ Second Cry from The Cross:

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the samecondemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Luke 23:39-43

His+ Third Cry from The Cross:

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
John 19:26-27

O Precious LAMB+ of GOD, we thank THEE+ that even in the midst of Thine+ own suffering, THOU+ didst provide for those who loved THEE+. We praise THEE+ for that and bless Thy+ Holy Name. We pray, O LORD, that Thy+ sacrifice be not in vain, and that we, seeing Thy+ Example of "loving to the uttermost," will go and do likewise. We praise THEE+, we bless THEE+,  we worship THEE+ for Thy+ great glory.
