ASCENSION DAY ! In moving HIS+ Glorified Body --- which could eat broiled fish and honeycomb --- from earth into Heaven in the sight of His+ Disciples, The Risen LORD JESUS CHRIST
. . . EMBODIED Philippians 3:21 for all of us !
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for The SAVIOUR, The LORD JESUS CHRIST:
21 WHO+ shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His+ Glorious Body, according to the working whereby HE+ is able even to subdue all things unto Himself+.
Calling Lazarus out of the tomb wasn’t enough; The LORD JESUS was also RAISED from the Dead Himself+ in three days . . . just like HE+ said.
Being raised from the dead wasn’t enough; The LORD JESUS also robbed Hell of the Righteous captives it held and took them into the Paradise of GOD in Heaven.
Taking Captivity captive wasn’t enough, either. The Resurrected LORD JESUS appeared unto His+ disciples 40 days, teaching them and opening unto them the Scriptures concerning Himself+.
Nor was THAT enough ! Our Risen and Glorified LORD JESUS led them out as far as Bethany, and as HE+ blessed them . . . HE+ ascended unto Heaven, a cloud receiving HIM+ out of their sight !
And BLESS GOD ! HE+ astounded them even MORE with the presence of two angels who chided them for gazing intently into the Heavenlies , trying to obtain a glimpse of the departing LORD.
FURTHERMORE . . . HE+ was not finished in astounding them because HE+ knew the Promise of The FATHER was coming in 10 days !
4 And, [ The Resurrected JESUS ] being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the Promise of The FATHER, which, saith HE+, ye have heard of ME+. Acts 1:4

Think ye, that ANY one of them doubted His+ last Words to them ? His+ Glorious Ascension broke their natural-minded ties to earth and fastened their hearts in a LIVING hope of LIFE in Heaven.
May this Ascension Day we enter into a celebration of Praise befitting His+ Passage into the Heavenlies . . . and may our hearts be anchored in Heaven WITH CHRIST more strongly THAN THEY ARE HERE.

Grant, we beseech thee, ALMIGHTY GOD, that since we do believe Thine Only-Begotten SON+ our LORD JESUS CHRIST to have ascended into the Heavens;
so we may also in heart and mind thither ascend, and with HIM+ continually dwell, Who+ liveth and reigneth with THEE and The HOLY SPIRIT, one GOD, world without end. Amen.

Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? alleluya:
in like manner as ye have seen him going up into heaven, so shall he come again, alleluya, alleluya, alleluya.
