And when the Day of Pentecost was fully come,

they were all with one accord

in one place.

Oh, how we love this familiar verse ! 

The GLORIOUS ASCENSION of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST ~ The Triumph of HOPE ~ Ascension Day 2024

 

How gladly we think upon the Glorious Ascension of the Glorified Body of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST ! 

This witness of our Resurrected LORD JESUS should fill us with a triumphant HOPE . 

When our Loved One dies in the LORD, he / she too will gain a glorified body LIKE UNTO HIS+ GLORIFIED BODY . . . at the appointed time .

WHO+ shall change our vile body,

that it may be fashioned 

like unto HIS+ Glorious Body,

according to the working whereby

HE+ is able even to subdue

all things unto HIMSELF+. 

^{Philippians 3:21}

In HIS+ glorified body, HE+ ate physical food, yet HE+ could enter into a locked room .

HE+ walked with His+ Followers along a dusty road and talked with them ( seemingly ) in His+  physical body ...  yet HE+ could vanish out of sight instantly, energizing His+ Followers to walk ANOTHER 7 miles back to Jerusalem that night !

Knowing that CHRIST 

being raised from the dead

dieth no more;

death hath no more dominion over HIM+!

^{Romans 6:9}

DEATH hath no more dominion over HIM+ . . . and it shall have no more dominion over us . . . if we stay attached to the True VINE+.

That is the Glorious HOPE we have. That is  WHY we celebrate Ascension Day, be in May 9 ,2024 , Western Christian calendar, or June 6, Eastern Christian calendar.

The date may change; the FACT does NOT !

^{ACTS 1:1}  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that JESUS began both to do and teach, 

^{ACTS 1:2}  Until the day in which HE+ was taken up, after that HE+ through the HOLY SPIRIT had given commandments unto the apostles whom HE+ had chosen: 

^{ACTS 1:3}  To whom also HE+ shewed himself alive after HIS+ Passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of GOD: 

^{ACTS 1:4}  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for The Promise of THE FATHER, which, saith HE+, ye have heard of me. 

^{ACTS 1:5}  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT not many days hence. 

^{ACTS 1:6}  When they therefore were come together, they asked of HIM+, saying, LORD, wilt THOU+  at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

^{ACTS 1:7}  And HE+ said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which THE FATHER hath put in HIS own Power.

^{ACTS 1:8}  But ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY SPIRIT is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME+ both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

And when HE+ had spoken these things,

while they beheld, HE+ was taken up;

and a cloud received HIM+ out of their sight. ^{ACTS 1:9} 

 

^{ACTS 1:10}  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as HE+ went up, behold, TWO MEN stood by them in white apparel; 

^{ACTS 1:11}  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into Heaven? this same JESUS, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. 

Worthy is The LAMB+ !

Worthy is The LAMB+ !

Worthy is The LAMB+ that was slain

to receive Power, and Riches, and Wisdom

and Strength, and Honor, and Glory, and Blessing !

Blessing and Honor, Glory and Power

Be unto HIM that sitteth upon The Throne

and unto THE LAMB+ !

 

RESURRECTION ! HE+ LIVES ! NEVER TO DIE AGAIN !

 JESUS CHRIST,  KING+ of Kings and LORD+of Lords Has Conquered !

 

HalleluJAH ! HE+ AROSE ! Just like HE+ said.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST died once . . . never to die AGAIN.

Death hath NO MORE DOMINION over HIM+.

In that HE+ liveth, HE+ liveth unto GOD The FATHER !

Furthermore , The LORD JESUS CHRIST offers this Eternity in Heaven to every living soul.

YES, EVERY LIVING SOUL is invited to come and GO WITH HIM+ into the Paradise of GOD which is in Heaven. ALL ARE INVITED.

But how show they hear unless The Word of Salvation is shared?

How shall they know that JESUS the LORD loves them  unless someone tells them by Word and by Deed ?

No candle is lit and hidden away under a box. That is like receiving the one talent and doing nothing to further the master’s estate.

NO RATHER, a candle is lit and placed openly

TO RADIATE  LIGHT

into the darkness.

Let us GO FORTH with the RESURRECTION JOY because Our REDEEMER+  LIVES !  HE+ won the battle over death, hell, and the grave.  

Thus, we are forgiven

by His+ Blood,

by His+ Sacrifice,

by His+ LOVE.

We have this victory in CHRIST. We shall have a share in it IF WE REMAIN STEADFAST in our faith.

GOOD FRIDAY 2024 ~ Where Would I BE if JESUS Didn't Love me ?

Good Friday, 2024 ~ 

Where Would I BE, if JESUS didn’t love me ?

Where would I be, if JESUS didn’t care ?

For HE+ was wounded for our  transgressions;

HE+ was bruised for our  iniquities.

The chastisement of our peace [ think: HE+ was beaten so badly until HE+ was extremely disfigured; HE+ did not look human any longer. ] was upon HIM+.

It is no wonder that The FATHER received His+ Precious SON’S+ Blood for our cleansing, the ONLY Blood that can cleanse us from sin. The ONLY Blood that can save us.  

And with HIS+ stripes we were healed.^{ISAIAH 53:5}

YES . . .  our healing comes from His+ Wounds.

+  +  +

I+ gave MY+ back to the smiters,

and MY+  cheeks to them that plucked off the hair:

I+ hid not MY+ face from shame and spitting. ^{ISAIAH 50:6}

The Roman soldiers and Herod’s men had HIM+ at their mercy so they unleashed their hatred of GOD upon HIM.  

+  +  +

Surely HE+ hath borne our griefs,

and carried our sorrows:

yet we did esteem HIM+ stricken,

smitten of GOD and afflicted. ^{ISAIAH 53:4}

Oddly enough, we ascertained that GOD struck and afflicted HIS own Beloved, Only-Begotten, Righteous, and Obedient SON+ . . . instead of us, who are steeped in unrighteousness inherited from Adam, our first father.

Where Would I Be, if JESUS didn’t love me ?

Where would I be, if JESUS didn’t care ? +  +  +

LET US PRAY:

LORD JESUS,

YOU+ bore my sins and my iniquities to the Cross . YOU+ were pulverized and beaten within a shred of Your+ Life for me.

I love YOU+ and owe all my life to YOU+.  If you want it, it belongs to YOU+, my Great REDEEMER+ and SAVIOR+.

Worthy art THOU+, 0 LORD, Worthy art THOU+. Amen.

 

 

 

HOLY WEDNESDAY ~ The 4TH DAY of the Ancient Week

HOLY WEDNESDAY ~ The 4th Day of the Ancient Week

[ Although we believe The LORD JESUS CHRIST was crucified on the 4th day of the Ancient Week ( i.e., Wednesday) and ate the Passover on Tuesday night, we observe the church Remembrance of Good Friday simply to stay in Fellowship with our Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST who remember His+ Crucifixion and Resurrection, in accordance with the Western Church Calendar.  The important issue is to honor CHRIST JESUS, not the “calendar” day. ]

In the night in which Our LORD+ was betrayed, HE+ took bread in His+ sinless Hands, and when HE+ had given thanks, HE+ broke it . . .

And HE+ took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it,

and gave unto them, saying,

“THIS is My+  Body

Which is given for you:

this do in remembrance of ME+.”

I+ , I+, am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven: if any man eat of This Bread, he shall live for ever:

and the Bread

                                that I+ , I+ will give              

is My+ Flesh,

which I+ , I+  will give

for the LIFE of the world.

This is what His+ agony in the Garden of Gethsemane accomplished: HE+ broke His+ own Body Himself+ in the act of breaking the Unleavened Bread with His+ own Hands.  

Let’s read it again carefully:

HE+ took bread in His+ sinless Hands,

and when HE+ had given thanks,

HE+ broke it . . .

and gave unto them, saying,

“THIS is My+  Body

Which is given for you:

this do in remembrance of ME+.”

The LORD JESUS CHRIST made good on His+ Word to His+ Heavenly FATHER in the Garden of Gethsemane,

--- after sweating great drops of blood

--- after asking The FATHER that This Cup would be removed from HIM+ .

But when That Cup was NOT removed . . .

Then, HE+ Himself+ took the Passover Bread in His+ own Hands and broke Himself +, putting in motion His+ own Crucifixion.

Minutes earlier, The LORD JESUS gave Judas Divine Permission to accomplish His+ betrayal.

        JESUS answered, He it is, to whom I+ shall give a sop,        when I+ have dipped it. And when HE+ had dipped    the sop, HE+ gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of    Simon. ^{JOHN 13:26}

         And after the sop satan entered into him. Then said  JESUS unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. ^{JOHN 13:27}

        He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night. ^{JOHN 13:30}

          [Commentaries point out that the SOP was dipped into a sauce, perhaps a     dip made of beaten and crushed nuts and fruit juices.

          The bread of the LORD’S Communion was not dipped into any sauce, as           recorded in the Gospels.

          It seems that although Judas ate of the Passover Meal along with the other Disciples, he did not partake of the Bread and Wine of The LORD’S Supper. 

The LORD JESUS CHRIST was Master over His+ own flesh. HE+“learned obedience by the things which HE+ suffered.”

HE+ knew His+ FATHER’S Will and HE+ did it.

HE+ did it all for you . . . for me.

Let us pray:

LORD JESUS CHRIST, thank YOU+ for choosing over and over again The FATHER’S Will.  Thank YOU+ for agreeing with The FATHER’S Will, even though it meant Your+ agony and death.

O LORD JESUS, thank YOU+ for Your+ submission our Heavenly FATHER in the Garden and at the Passover Table.

By Your+ obedience to His+ Will, I have my sins washed away.  By Your+ death, I have Life.

Help me to choose our FATHER’S WILL for my life, so that Your+ Life can be shared with others who are as dead in their sins as I was. Amen.
