HIS+ Troubled Soul ~ John 12:27 ~ LENTEN Meditation for the Preparation of the LAST PASSOVER ~ 2024

 

John 12:27 ~ 2024 Lenten Meditation

Now is My+ Soul troubled;

and what shall I+ say?

FATHER, save ME+ from this hour:

but for this cause came I+ unto this hour.

HE+ did not refuse the Cup presented to HIM+.

HE+ faced His+ FATHER’S WILL , the Divine Will which included His+ Crucifixion.

The LORD JESUS knew  there would be no Resurrection without His+ death. . .  even His+ death upon the cruel, horrible, agonizing CROSS.

It was not “just” a death.  It did not come swiftly, like a guillotine-death.  It was a long, slow, excruciating death, filled with TOTAL PAIN every second of every minute of every hour that it lasted.

Wherefore HE+ was given a NAME above every other name, that at the Name of JESUS every knee should bow and every tongue PROCLAIM that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. . . to the Glory of GOD The FATHER !

No wonder His+ Soul was troubled. Yet, troubled with anguish of His+ human soul, HE+ embraced His+ FATHER’S WILL.

So that we could live.

So that we could live in Victory

over our problems here on earth.

So that we could live Eternally with HIM+.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory;

Let us Pray:

Dear LORD JESUS,

Help me to keep in view the cost of my Redemption. Help me to be aware that my  victory was given  to me by YOU+, at the Cross.

I repent of my grumbling, fussing, and complaining spirit.

I have nothing to do but be THANKFUL that YOU+ have made a Way for me to have Your+ Victory daily in every circumstance I face.  Help me to become STILL enough to see that Victory.

And have that sweet anticipation of Eternity with YOU+, Face to Face !

Worthy art THOU+ , O LORD CHRIST, WORTHY ART THOU !,

Amen, and thankfully so.

AT the FOOT of The Cross ~ John 12:26 ~ LENTEN Meditation for the Preparation of the LAST PASSOVER ~ 2024

 

 If any man serve ME+,

let him follow ME+;

and where I+ , I+ am,

there shall also My+  servant be:

if any man serve ME+,

him will My+  FATHER honor.

Is it hard to discover “where” The LORD JESUS actually is, in your life ?

HE+ is indeed there, waiting for you at the foot of His+ Cross.

Why does HE+ wait for you there ,

at that most uncomfortable place ?

HE+ waits for you to meet HIM+ there . . . so that HE+ help you join HIM+ on the Cross.

Yes, HE+ is our Resurrected SAVIOR+. Yes, HE+ brings us through to Victory over enemies within and without.

His+ Victory came only via the Cross where HE+ crucified His+ LIFE for our sake.

LIKEWISE,

our Victory comes

ONLY through the Cross,

where we die to our Self

for His+ Sake.

 Remember: HE+ does NOT place us onto that Cross.

NO. It is what we freely choose ourselves. We freely choose to pick up our cross and die daily to ourselves . . .

BECAUSE

that is the ONLY WAY

to have Victory in JESUS.

HE+ stands waiting at the foot of the cross for each one of us to ENABLE us by His+ enabling  Grace to join HIM+ on the Cross. 

The LORD JESUS is ready and willing to help us put to death our Self-nature and all that we hold dear as our “identity”.  

HE+ AWAITS OUR PERMISSION TO DO SO.

       THAT is where you will find HIM+ when you are “dry”,     “dull of spirit”, and floundering. When your life has lost    its zest , lost its color, and lost its liveliness, then you      have moved away from the Foot of the Cross.

       HE+ hasn’t moved; you have.

At the Foot of the Cross HE+ is standing,

waiting for you

to be willing to embrace

death to the Self.

That is when you will discover the RESURRECTION POWER of CHRIST JESUS . . . for Resurrection comes only after death.

Let Us Pray:

LORD JESUS, I have avoided coming to meet you at that cross . I have not wanted to die to WHAT I WANT. I wanted to live my life my way.  

O LORD JESUS, I see I was wrong. Help me to embrace that cross and not be afraid that it will “kill me”. 

I know that it will ONLY KILL my natural-man which blocks Your+ LIFE from flowing through me.

              Today, O LORD JESUS, I bend the knee of my heart          at the Foot of the Cross and yield my Self over to                 YOU+.

              Fill me now with Your+ Life anew and keep me         tethered to Your+ Cross, O LORD. 

This I pray in Thy+ Holy Name, O CHRIST. Amen

Worthy is The LAMB+ that was slain !

 

HE+ DID IT FIRST: Losing Our Life . . . John 12:25. . . LENTEN MEDITATION for the Preparation of The PASSOVER ~ 2024 ~ Week 4

 

He that loveth his life shall lose it;

and he that hateth his life in this world

shall keep it unto Life Eternal.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:

and whosoever will lose his life

for MY+ Sake shall find it.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;

but whosoever shall lose his life

for MY+ Sake and the Gospel's,

the same shall save it.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it:

but whosoever will lose his life for MY+ Sake,

the same shall save it.

 That is  what HE+ said.  Four times HE+ said it.

The DYING GRAIN . . . John 12:24 . . . LENTEN MEDITATION for the Preparation of The PASSOVER ~ 2024

 Verily, verily, I+ say unto you,

Except a corn of wheat

fall into the ground and die,

it abideth alone:

but if it die,

it bringeth forth much fruit.

The LORD JESUS  knew  HE+ was the Bread of Life, the true  Manna sent down from Heaven.

HE+ knew HE+ was the Living Bread that would sustain us in Life.

Furthermore, HE+ was the  ONLY  Bread given that COULD nourish the Flock of GOD.

The HOUR is COME . . . John 12:23 . . . LENTEN MEDITATION for the Preparation of The PASSOVER ~ 2024

The Straight and Narrow Path

And JESUS 

 answered them, saying,

The hour is come,

that the SON+ of Man 

should be glorified.

          Literal Greek:   The hour has come in order that The SON+ of Man should be glorified.

HE+ went not to the left nor to the right.

ASH WEDNESDAY SCRIPTURE ~ WORSHIP SERVICE ~ 2024

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust,

in the sure and certain HOPE

of the RESURRECTION unto ETERNAL LIFE

through JESUS CHRIST our LORD.

at Whose+ Coming in Glorious Majesty will judge the world;  and the corruptible bodies of those who sleep in HIM+ shall be changed, and made like unto His+ Glorious Body; according to the mighty working whereby HE+ is able to subdue all things unto Himself+.

For GOD So LOVED the World that HE Gave . . . A Sacrificial Valentine Message on ASH WEDNESDAY, the First Day of Remembrance of the PASSOVER SEASON

ASH WEDNESDAY is the beginning of the traditional 40-day Lenten Fast in Preparation for the GREAT and FINAL PASSOVER.

It begins today, on the traditional observance of Valentine’s Day.

On Valentine’s Day, it is nice to remember others and express our love for them to them. Who doesn’t like to receive those sweet endearments from others ?

But in our Expressions of Love to our loved ones, let us not  neglect to express our Love for JESUS CHRIST Who+ died for us . . . because HE+ loved us.

Let us remember His+ days of heart-preparation HE+ made as HE+ set His+ Face to go to Jerusalem for His+ Crucifixion.  

The inner battle HAD to be agonizing, as His+ prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane reveal. For HE+ knew what suffering awaited His+ Flesh.
