LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~Our PEACE~ Isaiah 53:5c-2

 

But HE+ was wounded for our transgressions,

HE+ was bruised for our iniquities:

 

 

the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM+;

and with HIS+ stripes

we are healed.

PEACE = SECURITY

If we are secure in HIS+ Love, then we entertain NO FEAR.

If we are secure in HIS+ Provision, then we have NO FEAR of lack.

If we are secure in HIS+ Guidance, then we have NO FEAR of being lost.

If we are secure in HIS+ Cleansing Power, then we have NO FEAR of past sins haunting us.

If we are secure in HIS+ Forgiveness, then we have NO FEAR of HIS+ rejection.

If we are secure in HIS+ Presence, then we have NO FEAR of being alone.

If we are secure in HIS+ Correction, then we have NO FEAR of going astray.

If we are secure in HIS+ Character, then we have NO FEAR of failure.

If we are secure in HIS+ WORDS, then we have NO FEAR of death.

If we are secure in HIS+ Love,

then we entertain NO FEAR.

We have been GIVEN His+ Security, His+ PEACE. HE+ provided PEACE for us in His+ Chastisement.

Why is it so hard , then, to OBTAIN and KEEP that Peace, that SECURITY in The LORD JESUS CHRIST ?

Could it be we need to SOW to the SPIRIT and not to the Flesh, in our thinking ?

No matter what the situation, we must NEVER agree with the devil’s thinking. We must NEVER agree with the devil’s reasoning.

But our Natural Man

always agrees with the devil !

Thus, we must INSIST that our thoughts AGREE with SCRIPTURE and not with the devil !

Scripture states that THE LORD IS OUR SHEPHERD+; we shall NOT want ( not lack anything needed. )

But when we DO lack something,

we find that we agree with the devil

instead of with The WORD of GOD.

Our eyes speak louder than The WORD.

We believe what we see instead of what is Written.

Whenever we do this --- in any area --- , then we walk out of His+ PEACE and embrace the insecurity of the flesh.

Our lack of trust in His+ WORD

lets the devil’s lies rule in our hearts !

It is NOT easy to “live by the WORD” instead of our eyes, trusting in what we see is happening.

We must TRAIN our Fleshly Eyes to submit unto The WORD… and focus on His+ TRUTH.  

His+ Chastisement won our PEACE.

Let’s not throw it away.

 

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~Our Chastisement~ Isaiah 53:5c-1

 

But HE+ was wounded for our transgressions,

HE+ was bruised for our iniquities:

the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM+;

 

and with HIS+ stripes

we are healed.

Our chastisement we do not receive... BECAUSE OF JESUS.

 We do not receive THE PUNISHMENT WE DESERVE for our manifold sins... BECAUSE OF JESUS. 

Our MANIFOLD SINS…

Our sins of what we have done in malice ( “to get even”) , in spite, or the pranks we have done, foolishly following the devil’s suggestions.

We ALL have done these things at one time or another.

How SAD these deeds make Our Heavenly FATHER !

Our sins of fouling the air with mean, angry, insulting, or Self-promoting words; HE+ hears them all

… even if no-one else hears us say them.

PSALM 139: 1-4

^{KEEP IN MIND: The SON+ is included in the references to GOD in the Old Testament, as part of the ELOHIM ( or Trinity concept.) Hence, the use of (+) in references to GOD in the O.T.}

O LORD, THOU⁽⁺⁾ hast searched me,

and known me.

THOU⁽⁺⁾ knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,

THOU ⁽⁺⁾ understandest my thought afar off.

THOU⁽⁺⁾ compassest my path and my lying down,

and art acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue,

but, lo, O LORD,

THOU⁽⁺⁾ knowest it altogether.

How angry our Heavenly FATHER must be with us whenever HE hears these foul words pour forth out of our mouth, dirtying the air.

… Not to mention HIS Reaction to our complaining and grumbling and whining.

The SINS of our Thought-Life…

Oh LORD Who+ knoweth the secrets of our hearts, the wayward, unloving, critical and judgmental, thoughts of our hearts . . .  

Have mercy upon us and change us .

We heartily repent of our lack of compassion towards those we disdain.

Grant us THE SAME MERCY

that we extend to others

… to the unlovable

… to the obstinate 

... to those who insult us

… to those we disdain

… to our enemies.

Yes, grant us the same mercy we give to others !

 

WHAT IF HE+ DOES ?

How much mercy would WE then receive ?

Oh LORD CHRIST, WHOSE+ mercy extends to all without distorting the TRUTH, without respect of person… YOU+ offer Your+ cleansing from SIN and Your+ invitation to every person.

Glory be to The LORD JESUS CHRIST

WHO+ has taken our punishment,

our rightful due,

our chastisement

upon HIMSELF+.

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ BRUISED and Crushed for our Twisted Perversions ~ Isaiah 53:5b

 

But HE+ was wounded for our transgressions,

HE+ was bruised for our iniquities:

the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM+;

and with HIS+ stripes

we are healed.

Bruised. Crushed.

For WHAT ?

The LORD JESUS was bruised and brutally crushed for OUR crooked-ness, for OUR twisted-ness, for OUR perversions.

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~Wounded for WHOSE Transgressions ? ~ Isaiah 53:5a

 

But HE+ was wounded for our transgressions,

HE+ was bruised for our iniquities:

the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM+;

and with HIS+ stripes

we are healed.

No-one can read this verse --- phrase by tremendous, earth-shaking phrase --- and fail to see the LOVE of GOD.

But HE+ was wounded for our transgressions,

Our eyes should be full of tears and our own hearts should be stricken at the unfairness of it all.

Why would Our Heavenly FATHER wound to the death SOMEONE ELSE because WE , not HE+ , have transgressed against the Holiness of GOD ?

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ Smitten of GOD for His+ OBEDIENCE ? ~ Isaiah 53:4

 

Surely HE+ hath borne our griefs,

and carried our sorrows:

yet we did esteem HIM+ stricken,

smitten of GOD,

and afflicted.

It is NO SECRET that The LORD JESUS CHRIST died for our sins.

It is NO SECRET that HE+ has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows of every sort . . .  for HE+ knows well the human heart and what is in man.  

Furthermore, HE+ knows the ALL the schemes of the enemy to steal our joy and our peace.

HE+ sees the enemy’s delight in plotting to kill us.

HE+ knows the GOAL of the enemy is to destroy our unity with The LORD, by dragging us into hell and the Lake of Fire with him.

The LORD JESUS is very WELL-AWARE of all the lures and entanglements and snares the enemy has laid for our feet.

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ We Esteemed HIM+ Not; ~ Isaiah 53:3e

 

HE+ is despised and rejected of men;

a MAN+ of Sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from HIM+;

HE+ was despised,

and we esteemed HIM+ not.

DESPISED, from the Hebrew language = thought of as VILE. thought of as WORTHLESS. thought of as CONTEMPTIBLE.

From the Palestinian = raise the head loftily and disdainfully.

ESTEEM , from the Hebrew = a primitive root meaning to plait or interpenetrate, (literally) to weave > to plot or contrive > to think, regard, value, compute.

This DESPISING of The MESSIAH+ was foretold by the Prophet Isaiah as an identifying feature of the Coming ONE+. This was a feature that the Ancient People of GOD missed. 

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ We Hid as it were our Faces from HIM+ ~ Isaiah 53:3d

HE+ is despised and rejected of men;

a MAN+ of Sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from HIM+;

HE+ was despised,

and we esteemed HIM+ not.

We turned away from HIM+. 

We hid our faces from The LORD JESUS CHRIST . . .  from the ONE+ Who+ loves us most .  

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ And, HE+ Was Acquainted With Grief, ~ Isaiah 53:3c

 

HE+ is despised and rejected of men;

a MAN+ of Sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from HIM+;

HE+ was despised,

and we esteemed HIM+ not.

The LORD JESUS was acquainted with grief. Well  acquainted. HE+ knew about suffering.

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ A MAN+ of Sorrows, ~ Isaiah 53:3b

 

HE+ is despised and rejected of men;

a MAN+ of Sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from HIM+;

HE+ was despised,

and we esteemed HIM+ not.

What a name ! What a reputation ! What a Calling !

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ DESPISED and REJECTED of Men ~ Isaiah 53:3a

 

 

    HE+ is despised and rejected of men;

a MAN+ of Sorrows,

and acquainted with grief:

and we hid as it were our faces from HIM+;

HE+ was despised,

and we esteemed HIM+ not.

Why would any man despise The LORD JESUS CHRIST Who+ never hurt mankind ?

Why would any man reject HIM+ ?

and when we shall see HIM+,

there is no beauty that we should desire HIM+.

Do we delight in handsome, well-formed kings and rulers ?

Is that our standard ?

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ What Does THE FATHER See ? ~ Isaiah 53:2 b.

 

 Who hath believed our report?

and to whom is the ARM of The LORD revealed? 

Isaiah 53:1

For HE+ shall grow up before HIM

as a tender plant,

and as a root out of a dry ground:

 

HE+ hath no form nor comeliness;

and when we shall see HIM+,

there is no beauty that we should desire HIM+.

In this Prophetic verse in Isaiah:

THE FATHER sees HIS Beloved SON+ WHO+ was with HIM in Heaven from the Foundation of the world. 

LENTEN SEASON 2025 ~ Will We Recognize The MESSIAH+, The SAVIOR+ of the World ? ~ Isaiah 53:2 a.
